Spout too short
The spout needs to be lengthened. If the pot or dish is not placed directly against the side of the sink, soap is squirted on the side of the sink.

Incredibly Cheap
Do not buy these soap dispensers. They materials they are made with are incredibly cheap. All cheap plastic. I bought 8 for the public bathrooms in my hotel and in 5 months I have had 4 of them break. Save your money and get something else

A simple but pleasant accessory
This soap dispenser is a simple but pleasant to have accessory. Purchasers of our homes enjoy having the soap dispenser at the kitchen sink. It also compliments a matching arching single lever kitchen faucet plus adds that little piece of bling to the kitchen.

Soap Dispenser RP50781
I really like Delta products, but I purchased this faucet and soap dispenser in stainless one year ago and the soap dispenser stopped working. I am disappointed that this only lasted one year and also it's made of plastic not stainless.

Good product
Along with many others, I received a unit that broke down. Mine lasted over 3 years. But people, come on, there is a lifetime warranty. A 5-minute call will get a new one on the way. This unit has served me well in the time it worked. The thing is 100% plastic, so I’m not expecting miracles. However, a company the size of Delta should test their products a bit better before shipping them. This is actually the 2nd item I’ve had to get replaced. However, it is a no-hassle replacement process. I’m surprised that so many people left poor comments without contacting Delta for a free replacement. Due to this hassle-free replacement process, I will continue to buy Delta products.

Cheap soap dispenser
I bought this soap dispenser to coordinate with a new Delta faucet. It is called "artic stainless" in the description. That strictly refers to the color. There is no stainless metal in the dispenser. Instead, it feels like cheap plastic. It looks good until you feel it. Light weight. This is not acceptable when you use it with new granite countertops and a high quality faucet. This one's going back.

Great faucet / poor soap dispenser
I have the same issue with the soap dispenser as so many others. I purchased my faucet with soap dispenser for a kitchen remodel. It worked for one year but now will not pump soap. The pump is stuck in the down position. I am very happy with the faucet but apparently the soap dispenser has design flaws or is of poor quality. That is a shame since the Delta name had always been a symbol of quality.

Great, sturdy soap pump - replaced grohe
This Delta soap dispenser replaced my second Grohe soap pump that failed. I have stainless faucet and it matches nicely. So far it's performing well and I'd give it five stars, but I have to see if the spring/pumping action wears out in less than 2 years like the Grohe has. No complaints right now though!

Recommended because of warranty
I have the Pillar Touch2O model with soap dispenser. The soap dispenser lasted for about a year and broke. It's got a nice outer look, but we felt it lacks in internal design and quality because it never responded well and we had to wait for the pump to bounce back completely (very slow) in order to get a another full pumps worth of soap out. The explanation for it was eh - okay; they said it could be the spring or soap lodged in the path or a multitude of other things, but whatever. The rep had no problem with sending me out the replacement for free. I wish I hadn't waited so long to call, because I have been without it for several months! Hopefully this pump will last us a little longer and I hope down the road that the internal design improves. We feel the biggest design flaw is that the plastic tubing continues through the spout casing and it flexes too much and inhibits the pump reaction; in addition; if you happen to pull the dispenser anywhere but straight up to remove it, like flex the head, you've broken the dispenser! An epoxy glue would not work in gluing it back together. If this replacement fails on us again, I'll consider choosing another Stainless Steel Delta dispenser from their variety of options, like the RP1002SS or RP47280SS that might not have the same internal design. So gently does it when using it, because the internal plastic parts are fragile. Thanks Customer Service for not making the replacement process painful!

Pump broke.
I bought the Pilar facet system with this soap pump. Similar to the other experiences posted, the top hand pump snapped off the base (no possibility to repair). It looks like two plastic posts attach to the hand, not very robust. It is unfortunate that the entire soap dispenser has to be replaced at over $50. On the positive side, I think (and hope) that this is covered by the Delta warranty.

We bought this faucet/soap dispenser 1 year ago. LOVE the faucet but the soap dispenser quit working. I was excited to get the soap dispenser but not if it is going to cost 50+ dollars to replace it every year. Not Happy!!!

Soap Dispenser plunger stuck
We really like the faucet. But the soap dispenser is a royal pain. I started by sticking closed and now will not work at all.
We bought this about two years ago and started having problems with the dispenser a year ago.
Now it appears that in order to fix the problem, I will need to purchase an entire soap dispenser as they don't offer the plunger separately. Why buy the same dispenser when it will clearly just stop working again in six months?! HELP? Any Ideas?

It's ok
This soap dispenser came with a Delta faucet I ordered. The dispenser seemed rather light and cheap when I first held it, but now that is is installed, that is not so noticeable. The handle isn't very high, and barely reaches out into the sink area in order to get my hand under it. The spout has to be pointed into the sink area because there isn't enough room to get my hand under it otherwise. Of course you wouldn't want a spout that would stick out too far into the sink area as it would be in the way. I think I would prefer a taller one. This one looks rather stubby next to the faucet. A taller one would be easier to use and look more in proportion.

Was never reliable and now has stopped working at all
We bought the Pilar faucet and soap dispenser when we replaced our kitchen sink and Moen faucet, which was leaking. We love the faucet but the soap dispenser has never worked well, it often required multiple hard pumps to get it to work and now it doesn't work at all. Like everyone, I'm looking to replace the pump by itself and have discovered I would need to pay nearly $60.00 to replace the whole unit, when all I need is the pump. Don't recommend this to anyone and would not buy the soap dispenser again.

Ok not great
Agree w others that the nose of this thing is shaped oddly and is too short. It does not really coordinate well w the faucet IMHO. But it works well so far (a month) for us.

Great purchase!
When opened box soap dispenser looked very large. Once installed it was perfect. Easy to fill by lifting off the top. Would definitely purchase this product again. Very nice bronze finish.

Soap dispenser stopped working
We bought the Pilar with touch technology as part of a kitchen remodel a little over a year ago. We have also remodeled a bathroom and have all Delta faucets and shower hardware. Happy with everything accept the soap dispenser. The plunger sticks and no soap comes out. I was hoping to find the plunger as a part so I could replace the existing one. Disappointed to find that it is only sold as a full replacement.

Soap dispenser quit working
Like other reviewers our soap dispenser also quit working. The plunger needs to be replaced, but I don't see that you can just order that one part. Other than this problem, we love the Delta faucet. We bought this faucet as a kitchen remodel and have delta faucets in all of our bathrooms. This is the only problem we have had. The kitchen faucet is a little over a year old.

Nice looking, but short-lived functionality
Our story is similar to others' here - we purchased the faucet set during a kitchen remodel and have enjoyed the faucet and the soap dispenser - but, given the price, we are disappointed that the dispenser has already quit doing the deed. A soap dispenser isn't exactly "high tech" or "high use" equipment.

Good, but..
The dispenser looks good, works well and is easy to install. The big draw back is that it must be filled from under the sink by unscrewing the bottle. The opening to the bottle is very small making refill very slow.

Mine stopped working after a couple of months.
I thought maybe it was the soap. I changed to a clear fine liquid. It was always stuck and it finally stopped working. Not very pleased. I would not recommend it. My reason for purchasing the faucet was for the soap dispenser.

Looks good and works fine.
I ordered this product because we put in a new faucet and I wanted the extra hole used for hand lotion. The shipping came right on time and the product matches the other pump that came with the faucet. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating for me is that the pump is a little hard to press down on sometimes and the spout is a little short.

OK but no cigar
This soap dispenser came in a set with the faucet I bought. Love the faucet but only so-so about the soap dispenser. My main concern is that it is hard to use with one hand. The nozzle is a little too long which makes it difficult to have the soap hit your palm when pressing it (with the same hand). Also, I feel that not enough soap is dispensed with one press.

Stopped working after 2 years
The soap pump dispenser worked great for the first couple of years before beginning to slow down on the amount of soap dispensed. Now it has stopped altogether. Ok, so I go to the box store the faucet set was purchased from. They don't sell replacement parts. Guess I'm out of luck......

Plastic Bottle broken
When I purchased the dispenser I loved the sleek design- our faucet had a built in sprayer, so the empty hole in the sink wasn't attractive. Many of the soap dispensers looked very cheap and were in the same price range as this one. I never filled it with soap because I just like the be able to pour the soap around the sink for cleaning- when I finally did and after I few uses it became really loose at the base. When I looked under the sink the bottle was just kindly hanging on for dear life. The part where the neck of the bottle meets the bottle was completely broken. Not sure if it was a faulty one, didn't see anyone else complain about.... I went to the store I purchased it at, and they no longer carry it :( they only have the cheap ugly ones- go figure (murphy's law). I need it they no longer have it- of course. I thought maybe attach another bottle to it? But. that was a no go either, The broken piece is on there really well and not coming loose. Too bad the entire bottle did not stay on there as well. :(

Started using foam soap!!
We purchased the soap dispenser several months ago and had the same issue as several others (would not pump). Today we decided to try the foam soap from Bath and Body and it works!! Several of the gel soaps are too thick to pump. Give it a try:)

It is not metel!
I was very surprise for Delta to have such nice soap dispenser that's described as Stainless Steel finish, but it is plastic (at least it feels plastic to me). Anyway, it works fine and matches my faucets. Hopefully, they honer their warranty when this breaks

Worked for only 60 days!
Purchased this Linden set from Home Depot. A professional plumber installed it. After only 60 days, the "graceful functionality" of this dispenser failed to function. Took the top part and my receipt to Home Depot and was told there was nothing they could do. What a waste of my time and money. Very, very disappointed.
