Chair height or seat height refers to the distance from the finished floor to the top of the toilet seat. An ADA-compliant toilet seat must be between 17 inches (minimum) and 19 inches (maximum) above the finished floor. Delta toilets are ADA-compliant to make sitting down and standing back up easier.
