Delta Wall Supply Elbow
This matches the Delta set I purchased for the bathroom remodel. It is needed as the water supply for secondary shower head. It is very heavy and solid.

The Elbow works like it should. Only problem is that screwing into a nipple in the wall was a bit of problem. Had to use a cheater bar to turn after a couple of turn. Almost like it was cross treaded, but it wasn't. Like the color.

The supply elbow seems very well made and looks nice. The only thing that I did not like is that, in my case, it required a nipple of about 1.75 inches. They only come in 1.5 and 2.0 sizes. I was able to find one that was slightly less that 2 inches which I made work. The fit is not perfect, but I can live with it.

Heavy/solid.High Quality. Tapered threads in water supply pipe don't allow it to thread far into elbow. The steel water pipe that exit the wall have threads that are tapered. the threads inside this unit are not tapered - so it threads only so far. This isn't a problem as long as you get the end of the pipe exiting the wall exactly right (distance from end of pipe to finished wall surface). You will have less than 1/4 inch of tolerance. This is a challenge when you are doing a complete tear out and re-tile job since you will need to know exactly where the finished wall surface will be in relation to how far out the end of the exit water pipe coming out of the wall (that this screws onto) will be. Also, don't drop it - the surface is easily scratched and damaged.
None of this should discourage you from purchasing this product - typical issues with any complete shower install. This is a great product.

Very nice
This supply ebow is simple, easy to install and safe. Many of our customers are elderly and they don't want anything in the shower that is sharp or could cause injury during a fall.

My contractor installed the supply elbow with the outlet facing up. Can this be adjusted so it faces down?
Thank you for your review, Jaypro! The wall elbow threads on to a 1/2" (13 mm) iron pipe nipple. This can be unscrewed and threaded on correctly, but please be sure to apply plumbers tape to the pipe thread as per the instructions.

What is this product made of? Plastic?
Also what is the shower bar on the model 57021 made out of? Assuming it's NOT brass?

Customer wants us to install a diverter and elbow (50560) but wants a cap for the elbow. They do not want a wand at this time but later.
Thank you for your question, SueE! Unfortunately we do not manufacture a cap for this elbow however this model does include a thread-on tool that can be left on as a plasterguard if needed. We would not recommended capping this area to control water flow as the main control valve will do this.

My plumber installed a piece of copper pipe attached to pex. At the top of the copper pipe he installed an elbow 90 degree 1/2 inch copper fitting with tapered threads. Should the tapered thread copper fitting work and seal properly with teflon tape?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 50560-SS Wall Elbow will fit on 1/2" copper fittings with standard threads. We recommend the standard threads be sealed properly with plumber's tape.

How far away from the corner should it be to allow enough room to rotate in installation?

My son recently installed this for a hand shower as part of a complete bathroom remodel. As instructed, he used a 1/2" IRON pipe nipple. Now dirty rusty h2o blasts into my new tub every time used! Why iron? Thanks alot...
So hopefully you used a galvanized steel nipple or brass nipple not a black iron nipple which over time will rust and rot and leak. You just need 1/2 MIP thread.
