Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware left take off only on 3 way diverter. 3 way diverter only uses left side. I only wanted the 3way but rough in calls for right port to be used. Had to convert to 6 way cartridge. Too bad the couldn’t make the 3 way selectable right or left. Would be a better design. If the ceramic seal was reversible in cartridge and not keyed it would work. Probably ought to specify right or left takeoff and manufacture a different 3 way cartridge for either right or left take off. Fortunately I discovered this before tiling it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, with one minor flaw if you're using PEX Great rough-in, easy to install, works perfectly. My only complaint is the location of the mounting feet. They are both on the top side, which allows the rough-in to rock upward, away from the stringer. I would have preferred one of the mounting feet on the bottom as well, similar to Delta's shower rough-ins. This was an issue for me because I used PEX between the shower rough-in and diverter rough-in. When it gets hot, it expands, causing the diverter to rock upward. I will solve this by either strapping the bottom of the rough-in to the stringer, or by using a loop of PEX instead of a straight piece. But I wouldn't need to do either if there was a mount on the bottom side. The PEX would simply be forced to bend. No big deal, but heads up for those using PEX.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta makes is easy with universal valves Valve body for 3 or 6 function diverter. Easy to install. Includes plug for unused port. One thing to note during installation, the screw tabs are only on the top side of the valve body. If you tighten the screws much, the valve will tilt upward. This will cause the handle and trim to be tilted as well, so leave the screw heads accesible in case they need to be adjusted

Asked by: Sheri
Hi Sheri, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet R11000. This diverter valve is not recommended for use with a tub filler that uses R65700 or R3500-WL valves. These valves are not designed to add a diverter after the water is mixed. Please reach out if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

will the new trim for a r11000 fit an old style t11640 diverter valve

Asked by: mike
Hello mike, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta Faucet T11640 diverter valve used the R11600 valve rough. If you have R11600 installed you will need RP42410 (cartridge assembly), RP37902 (3 function stem extender) OR RP37903 (6 function stem extender), and RP37890 (extension screw) to use a new trim. RP42412 (trim sleeve) may be needed for installations between 3.5 and 4.0 inches deep from the finished wall surface. Can I connect or operate a tub spout...a shower head and a shower wand off of a delta R10000 Universal and a R11000 3F - 6 F diverter?

Asked by: Bisonnuts
Hello Bisonnuts, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! You would want to plumb a diverter tub spout to the bottom port of the R10000 according to the installation instructions. Plumb the top port of the R10000 to the bottom port of the R11000 diverter rough. Plug the right port of the R11000 and plumb the shower head arm and hand shower elbow to the top and left ports. The tub spout would be operated with the pull up or pull down diverter on the tub spout. Using a 3 function diverter trim, you can operate the showerhead and hand shower, with a shared setting. i installed the R11000 and im not getting any water to the tub spout on one port. both the head and hand held on the other port and the last port is just the shower head. any idea on whats going on?

Asked by: NickS
Hi NickS, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet R11000. I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help! First, check that it is installed so that the word UP is facing upward. A 6-setting diverter trim can be used for three shower features. If using a 3-setting trim, the two shower features should be piped to the left and top outlets and the right outlet should be plugged. While a tub spout can be installed to this diverter, this is not recommended. The water flow will be reduced and the tub will take much longer to fill. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you! how many fixtures will this handle need to see if cover 4 body sprays 2 shower heads and a hand held shower

Asked by: dal310
Hi dal310, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model R10000 MultiChoice® Universal Tub / Shower Rough. We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. 2 showerheads, a hand shower, and 4 body sprays will be four or five shower features, depending on how the body sprays are plumbed. The maximum flow rate will depend on the trim kit or cartridge used with this valve rough. The R11000 diverter rough can use a 6-setting trim for three shower features plus three shared settings. You may need more than one R10000 mixing valve for all the shower features. Especiallially if more than two will be running at once. Asked by: Lucky
Hello Lucky! Thank you for your question! I am happy to help. The Delta R11000 rough does not have settings. The cartridge is included with the trim unit and it is the cartridge that determines how many settings the trim will have. There are Delta Trims available that have either 3 or 6 settings. The 3 setting trims offer 2 individual positions and 1 shared position. The Delta 6 setting trims offer 3 individual settings and 3 shared positions. Asked by: Michael
Hi Michael, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Our Delta Faucet 3- And 6-Setting Diverter Rough MODEL#: R11000 provides approx. 5.3 GPM @ 60 PSI, when both items are used the flow is shared. If your flow is lower than normal, we would recommend a flush. Please see the step-by-step instructions below. Start by turning the water off to the shower unit. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either an 1/8" or 3/32" allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. The sleeve is threaded at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. 3) After removing the sleeve, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 4) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 5) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. Check the full handle rotation. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole Digital Communications Specialist

Hi Bissy, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model R11000 3- And 6-Setting Diverter Rough. We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. Plumber installed valve/connections for our walk-in shower. I completed the build and installed the 3 way diverter. Turned on the wand - nothing. Plumber must’ve capped the wrong outlet. Can a 6 way diverter solve this? Don’t want to tear open the wall.

Asked by: Jamesm61
Hello Jamesm61, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available for our 3- And 6-Setting Diverter Rough MODEL#: R11000, and I am happy to help you! The 6 setting diverter cartridge would allow for 3 items to be used, shared, and individually. However, if you install this unit and the left port is capped, you will have a dead spot that may cause an issue with an inspection(if needed). The 6 setting diverter cartridge that you may use is part number RP51919, please see the link below. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP51919.html Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We recently remodeled our bathroom and installed a rain can, shower head, and 3 body sprays. Plumber installed the diverter R11000. We have good pressure from shower head and rain can but body sprays only spray weakly, approx 1.5 feet. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Blondie
Hi Blondie, I am sorry don't have good water flow from the body jet. It sounds like there may be debris in the jet. I would suggest removing the jet and run water through the valve for 30-60 seconds. Then soak the jet in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water for at least 30 min. Rinse thoroughly and reinstall. Please contact us back if you have further questions or need further assistance. Asked by: BT2022
Hi BT2022, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing locating this information. We will be happy to assist you.
