Had this dispenser when we bought the house 8 years ago. Held up fine until recently won't pump. Really didn't want to spend $39 for pump. Found Delta does make just that part. Home Depot sells just the Delta pump/spring to reconnect to spout for $6! Immediately ordered!

Lack of replacement parts
I am now about to be on my third soap dispenser to match my faucet. The plastic cartridge inside sticks after you push down for soap instead of popping back up. At first, it was just a nuisance, but it gradually gets worse until the device is entirely unusable. Unlike some other brands where you can take an assembly apart to get to a busted spring, this one does not appear to be user-serviceable. I can't believe that Delta doesn't sell a replacement part for the little cartridge. Shame on me for not saving receipts - I mistakenly assumed it was just that my first one was a dud, but it appears to be a design flaw. It is looking like it will be more economical for me over the life of my kitchen to replace my entire faucet with another brand rather than continue to replace these.

Pump pumps most days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is an inexpensive item with moving parts, there are times when it doesn't pump, especially when I need to use it a few times, so while it remains on my sink five years later, and works when used occasionally, it is not my primary source of dish soap any longer. It gets caught/stuck in the down position.

No replacement parts available
The soap dispenser (RP50813SP) worked great for about 4 years. Now the pump assembly is seized up, but Delta doesn’t offer the pump assembly (probably an $8 part). Delta only sells the entire soap dispenser for $48. After reading the reviews on this site and others the pump should be a replacement part.

Excellent addition

Love it, but can't refill it- need better instructions to refill?
Just haven't figured out the best way to refill the bottle. The plumber says I need to go underneath the sink, unscrew the bottle, then refill it - The brief instructions say you can refill the dispenser from the top of the sink, but no information on exactly how to do it. Lucky it's not ready to refill yet.

Looks to be a soap saver
We just got this faucet a few weeks ago. Our "lifetime warranty" on the Price-Phister unit that we'd had since 2003 just got to be ridiculous. Yes, they replaced parts. However, they were cheap plastic, looked like junk & I was spending way too much time under the sink! However, this Delta faucet has EXCEEDED our expectations in every way! I was so fed up with faucets that my bar was set pretty low. Kudos to Delta. Water flow is GREAT, handle throw is short (but temp setting is easy to adjust) & we're thrilled with the way the spray/stream head works. I read in the instructions (Yes, I'm a guy, but I actually READ all of the paperwork!) that I'm supposed to rinse out the soap dispenser every so often. If its every month or two, is that a show stopper? Doubt it. I'm actually online right now looking for a second soap pump so I can fill my 4th counter top hole with hand soap to complement the other filled with dish washing soap. This high-quality faucet was everything we wanted, and more.

Built Poorly, Doesn't Last
The soap dispenser is difficult to fill -- it takes forever. It doesn't work well and frequently clogs. And the pump broke within a month of use and had to be replaced. The outflow is inconsistent.

I bought this for a client to match a delta faucet. The faucet had to be replaced twice and the client is still unhappy. We installed 3 dispensers, one for dish soap, one for hand soap, one for hand lotion. 2 of 3 have had to be replaced. Filling is tedious. At 3/4 nothing comes out of the spout. And then the pump breaks within less than a year of purchase. I'm dumping Delta.

I purchased the Venetian Bronze Palo Soap dispenser and we love it. I ordered two and one is for dish soap and the other for hand lotion. I recently moved and had them in the other home and wanted these in the new home because I licked them so much. The color is great and does not wear off. This is a great product.

Disappointed in Delta
Professionally remodeled kitchen two years ago and installed Delta faucet and above soap dispenser. Have used Delta exclusively over the years in kitchen and baths. Unit worked okay over the two years but broke recently and have unable to fix despite several efforts. Thought we'd get much more use from it before needing to replace. Too bad.

Dispenses just the right amount of soap and looks great!
I love how it looks and that I no longer have a bottle of dishwashing soap cluttering up my counter. It dispenses just the right amount of soap. I have only filled it once so far, and over filled it that first time- a little bit of a learning curve on that. However, I am going to get another one for the other side for the hand soap!!

A different perspective.
Wow! I'm really surprised at the experiences of the other reviewers. I purchased this faucet in November of 2010. We had an extra hole on our sink, so I ordered an extra soap dispenser, one for hand soap and one for dishwashing soap. They both worked perfectly until we sold that house three years later. When we bought our new home, we had the same Delta Victorian installed because I like it so much. Three months later, I'm finally getting around to ordering the second soap dispenser, as we had the same situation here as in our last house, an extra hole to fill, and when I went to order it is when I saw the negative reviews. I have not had any problems with the soap dispenser that came with the new faucet and I'll keep my fingers crossed on the second one. But definitely no problems whatsoever with three identical soap dispensers so far in over three years.

Didn't last 6 months
I got this soap dispenser as part of a full faucet set, but I wanted to write a seperate review as this product is available seperately.
Unfortunately, the pump mechanism is 90% siezed after about 6 months, and only gives a small drop of soap every once in a while. I tried flushing it out, but it didn't help at all. Not great for an item that has a 'lifetime warranty".

I purchased the Victorian Faucet at Lowes. The color just says "stainless". I need an additional soap dispenser as we use one for dish soap and one for hand soap and they are side by side. Which color do I order so it matches exactly?

There is not room for the bottle under my sink. Can a smaller bottle be used?
Thank you for your question, Mary! We unfortunately do not currently offer a shorter bottle for this dispenser; however the diameter of the neck for this bottle is 13/16" and you may find a shorter bottle from another supplier.

I own the Leland sink set up. Everything is working fine, but the soap bottle that positions underneath the sink broke. Is there a way I can purchase a replacement bottle? I do not need an entire new set up.

Can you just purchase the pump separately for the rp50813 dispenser assembly? Will the pump (rp21908) for the rp37039 assembly work for rp50813 dispenser.
Thank you for your question, Larry! No, the RP21908 pump will not fit the RP50813AR soap dispenser. The entire soap dispenser would need to be purchased, in order to get the correct pump.
