The installation process was easy and seems to be very durable. Been using it for 3 months now and no complaints! 10/10

The brushed nickel is always a great look, but also other finishes allow for you to make it your own. Can take your bathroom to the next level. Haven’t had any maintenance problems with it. Only wish I had remodeled the whole bathroom before installing. Just seems out of place until I upgrade around it.

Have a streaming problem on a Sandover bathtub faucet... runs out around edges... see a plastic piece in the spout where it forces the water out around edges only... is it designed that way? or does the plastic piece need to be removed somehow?

I had the Sandover Model# 144748 Tub faucet installed and very little water comes out when it is on. The pressure is so low that it takes forever to fill the tub. Have you seen this issue and know what might be causing it?

Hi Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting us back, I have included the flushing instructions below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So, you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. When we installed the tub/shower set, and turned on the water, it came out of both the faucet and the shower head, even though the shower divert valve was closed- is this a defect or is there something we need to check?

Hi Bonnie, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. The issue you are describing is known as "shower rise" or "stacking". This is typically due to using PEX line between the valve and the tub spout. You must use PVC or copper and allow a distance of at least 8" to 18". The inner diameter of PEX line is too narrow to allow the flow therefore causing it to back up. There must also be no drop ear elbows or shark bit fittings as these restrict flow. Hello, Does the Sandover 144748-SP set come with the Adapter assembly and orings (RP33794)? The instructions show how to install the adapter but it was not included with the set.

I see that there is not a tub only or shower only application, but I am curious if this model can be used in a tub without the shower head and in a shower without the tub spout?

Please keep in mind if you decided to use this with a tub only, the tub spout still has a diverter you will be able to lift up. We recommend using non-diverting tub spouts for a tub only application. Can you add a hand held shower hose component to this shower head.  Had it installed in a bathroom addition in January and now I am having hip surgery in October and need a shower handheld hose component

I have the sandover tub shower combo.  I used1/2”copper with one 90 degree fitting.  It is also 10” from center of the mixing valve to the center of the tub spout.  I am still getting backflow to the shower head when the tub is on.  How can I remedy this?

Hello! Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We apologize our product does not meet your expectations! To avoid shower rise please refer to the list below. 1. There can be one of several reasons for shower rise 2. The valve could be upside down. 3. The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule. 4. There is more than one 90-degree angle elbow. 5. Something other than ½" smooth copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout. No push fittings. No "shark-bite" fittings. No cast or drop ear elbows. 6. Something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. A new shower cartridge will NOT fix this issue. The obstruction from the valve to the tub outlet must be remedied. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions!
