Why does shower head drip when only used for bathtub fill? 144749-BL

Hi Buildit, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 144749-BL. Shower rise is when the water can’t get out of the tub spout as fast as it flows through the valve. This causes the water to back up and come out of the shower head when the user only wants the tub spout to flow. Do I need to purchase a separate 2-function diverter for this set (#144749-BL) to switch the water from tub spout to showerhead?

This Delta Faucet model 144749-BL Nicoli™ Monitor® 14 Series H2Okinetic® Tub And Shower In Matte Black does not require a separate diverter to divert water between the tub spout and showerhead. You can simply lift up the diverter on the end of the tub spout to switch between the two. Is the tub spout plastic or metal?  Is the trim plate for valve plastic or metal?

Will the showerhead for the Nicoli Monitor 14 series H2O Kinetic still work if we don't use the Handle Kit for the Monitor Series. Our plumber said the Universal Rough is not compatible with the current Delta system we have.

Why is the product designed so that the head does not screw completely onto the shower arm so the threads can't be seen? Visible threads on the arm after spending a substantial amount of money on a trim kit doesn't make any sense from an aesthetic point.
