Hot water handle does not line up with the cold.

I believe this is the brand of faucet my niece has in her bathroom. There are no markings or brand name shown, but it does have the red and blue indicators. I did not install this faucet. The problem is the hot water handle is not lined up with the cold when its off. If I turn it to the same off position as the cold handle, water comes out. And if I turn it towards the back it does shut off. Is this just the way the handle was installed. Can I just remove it and place it in the correct position. And do I have to turn off the water supply. Thanks for your help

Hi Carrie, Thank you for your question. The model 2523LF-MPU handles only fit on the stem assembly one way based on their design, there are no splines on the stem assembly. There is no adjustment in the handle. When installed properly the handles will be lined up properly. I have attached the parts breakdown for this model below so that you can potentially verify the brand is Delta based on the internal parts. Is a non-overflow matching drain/stopper assembly available for faucet 2520LF-A?

My bathroom sink does not have an overflow, but the drain/stopper assembly included with the 2520LF-A faucet is designed to work on a sink WITH an overflow. Is a compatible version of the RP27575 drain/stopper assembly available without the overflow?

What is the drain style?

The vanity top I am installing recommends a "tapered-thin" drain instead of a "flat-thick" drain. Is there a specification I can view?

Dear Jeremy, Than you for your question! The drain assembly that comes with the Delta Classic Lavatory 2523LF-MPU is metal and should work with a 1 1/2" diameter drain. However, the depth of the hole must be 1 5/8" to 2 3/8". What is the difference between faucet model #s 2503LF and 2523LF ?

I read a review on this faucet set that lead me to believe the handles did not have full stop positions at 9 and 3 O'clock and would actually allow the handles to be pushed further toward the back and allow the the water to continue to run. Is this true?

Hello, Thank you for your question! When in the off positions the hot and cold handles (respectively) point towards 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock. A drip is likely caused by wear or damage to the rubber seats, RP4993. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP4993.html You may also want to replace the stems, RP25513.
