I purchased the Delta Cassidy set for a 1928 bathroom restoration. The faucet set is beautiful, sturdy, well made and 8 months later is just as nice as the day installed. I liked it so much along with the matching shower set that I ordered the same faucet set for the other bathroom.

All I could find on the web was brown oil rubbed bronze and bright polished golden brass. The soft matte golden finish on this fixture is perfect, and though it is not Art Nouveau or Art Deco in style, it is retro enough to pull it off.

A widespread would be easier to clean than the centerset but our budget dictated we choose the centerset. Nevertheless I have not had a problem keeping the faucet clean. We have owned two of these faucets for about two months and have no complaints so far.

The specs state there must be a minimum distance of 2.5” between the faucet and the backsplash. This seems fairly deep. Can it be less than this?

Does the spout swivel? If not is there one that does? We built our house 12 years ago with some that look like this that do swivel but can’t find in store. Thanks.

Are there any plastic parts to this faucet?

The only plastic I noticed are the plugs for the handle set screws. The base, spout and handles are metal.

We are installing custome concrete countertops. How large should the holes in the counter top be? I cannot find this measurement on any of the product information forms. It says 3 holes 4" centers but how big? Thanks

there are 2 options - with metal pop up and with metal pop up less handles. Could you explain more clearly the difference between the two?

Hey Carol, Thanks for your question. The 2597LF-MPU includes handles. The 2597LF-MPU-LHP does not include the handles so that you can choose between the cross (H295), lever (H267), or curve (H298) style handles. This is the only difference. Best regards, Jon

I have 4 Delta Cassidy 2 handle center set faucets (MODEL#: 2597LF-SSMPU) in every bathroom in my home, all purchased new.  One leaks every 2 seconds on the hot water side despite replacing the stem, spring, etc three times.  Any recommendations?

Bath faucets: Explain difference between control mechanisms with replaceable non-metallic seats and Diamond Seal valve? Which requires less maintenance, and which collections employ the low maintenance technology?

Thank you for your question, VIRGIL. While seats and springs are long lasting, they can wear over time and need to be replaced. Diamond Seal Technology cartridges have been tested and found to last up to 1 million cycles without leaking and requires less maintenance. Products with a Diamond Seal Technology cartridge will have "DST" in the model number.
