Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality product This is actually the second project that I’ve used the Lahara collection. I used it in a new construction beach home and now in a cottage remodel. Very versatile and classic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchasing a 4th! Going to start on my 3rd bathroom update (bought a fixer-upper last year, and only one bathroom was not completely gross, so we're tackling them one by one). All 3 sinks we've replaced we've put in this faucet - it's beautiful and easy to clean. Looking to do the next bathroom shortly, and will again be getting this faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fixture causes water odor Had 3 of these installed in new construction in late 2015 with pre-attached supply tubing. When the fixtures are unused overnight or longer, the hot water has a noticeable odor at first which then clears up but is quite unpleasant. No other fixtures in the house exhibit this odor and the water supply is from a central development system and run through a filter/softener also. Disinfected the water heater and supply piping several times but it always returned to these 3 fixtures only, not the kitchen, laundry room or tub/showers. After many attempts to diagnose cause unsuccessfully, I finally changed one fixture to another brand with separate supply line hoses and no problem with that fixture while the other 2 still have it. My conclusion is that it is somehow caused by the pre-attached supply tubing or,possibly less likely, the fixture materials. For a fairly pricey fixture, didn't expect to have this type of problem. probably will change out the other 2 to a different brand also.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drips Installed two of these and use mainly only one of them. Cold stem started dripping after one month of use. Unable to find stem assembly in Hawaii and faucet still leaks. Thinking of switching out units

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well and easy to use Works graet and the handles turn very easily. Smooth as butter. 4 stars because of the unknown performance during the long run.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Simple Faucet This is a very simple faucet set! Nothing special but it does the job. I found it very light weight and the faucet handles swing too easily so I wonder how long it will last.

Is there a red/blue marker on faucet handles to indicate hot and cold water.

Asked by: Jim
Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. The handles do not have a red and blue button. Best regards, Jon

If the lift rod pulls straight up, why does the spec sheet call for a minimum 2-1/2" clearance to backsplash?

I've seen this 2-1/2" minimum space requirement on other faucets, but that was because the lift rod on those faucets come out at an angle toward the backsplash. It looks like the lift rod on the Lahara pulls straight up (which several users have confirmed in various Q&A posts. I'd like to purchase the Lahara, but I'm not sure the maker of the cultured granite vanity top I have on order can accommodate the 2-1/2" requirement.

Hi, Bobert! Thank you for your question. The backsplash clearance is to make sure you have enough room for both the installation above the sink and under the sink for this faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

Water is dripping slowing when turned off. Is there a washer in the Lahara two handle widespread bathroom faucet that need to be replaced?

If a replacement washer is needed, please specify the part #.
Asked by: Ed
Hi Ed, Thank you for your question. To stop a drip in the model 3538-MPU-DST faucet you will want to change out the RP60400 valve assembly. Here is a link to the owners manual that includes the parts breakdown. Thanks, Dave

typical spacing?

It looks like the spacing of the handles can be varied. I will be installing a pair of these faucets on a double vanity in my new home. In case the plumber or builder asks me how far apart I want them: Is there a recommended distance apart? thanks-
Asked by: mr. flintstone
I installed ours at 8" center to center of the handles. Could have gone closer, could have gone further.

Sahara 3538. The black plastic insert (filter?) in the spout has a crack and water sprays out sideways. Can this be removed and replaced?

What is the bottom diameter of the base flanges of the Delta 3538-MPU-DST Lahara Faucet? I want to cover some rust stains on the counter surface.

Asked by: Susannak
It measures 2" across. I did the install in new sinks, so this was not an issue for me.

"Metal" pop up

I just bought this faucet. My plumber told me before I bought it, "just make sure it has a metal pop-up." Well, yes, there is metal for the part one sees in the sink, but the inside is all plastic. I bought this from a very well known big box store and it came in original Delta packaging. The model numbers matched, however, the inside of the pop-up is all plastic and cheap. My plumber went ahead and installed it, however, I am disappointed in the quality of the pop-up. Please let me know if the inside of the metal pop-up is supposed to be plastic or are different items with the same model numbers being sold at plumber's supply houses, this site, and at big box stores.
Asked by: Meg
Hi Meg, Thank you for your question. The drain assembly is metal. The stopper and the ball on the horizontal rode is non-metallic. Non-metallic parts are beneficial because they do not rust or corrode. Please know that all of our products are built to last and come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. When comparing the same model number, products will be exactly the same regardless of where they are purchased. Best regards, Jon
