The video provided by Tim is misleading, as it shows the replacement of a different stem cartridge rather than the Diamond 2-H Model: RP60400.

Thank you for your question, Matthew! Code permits that stoppers can leak no more than a gallon per hour with 6" of water in the bowl. The seal is provided by the weight of the water holding the rubber seal against the flange and the bowl must have at least 6" of water to provide adequate pressure. Please be sure this is not the issue occurring and if the leak persists, we would recommend checking that the required sealant was used on the flange which should be a uniform 1/4" round bead of sealant. This will not prevent water spots from happening on the faucet but the finish is easily cleaned by wiping down with a soft cloth. Hi JT, Thank you for your question. The model 3538-LF and the 3538-MPU-DST will look the same from above the sink. The major difference is in the valves of the faucet itself. The 3538-LF uses the stem unit assembly, seats and springs to control the water flow, while the model 3538-MPU-DST uses our Diamond Seal Technology which uses a diamond coated ceramic cartridge to control the water flow. The water supply connections from the valves to the spout and from the valves to your water stops/shutoffs are also a difference between the 2 models. Thanks, Dave

This will depend on if you have the original non-DST model or the current DST version.
