Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is a great faucet. This is a replacement for a 22 year old Delta single handle bathroom sink faucet. The original all metal. The new one is plastic with a chrome finish. I am interested in seeing how long the finish will last. The cartridge on the original started to fail and it leaked. I tried to get the unit apart to replace the cartridge, but being all metal construction the set screw in the handle would not loosen. I hope the finish on this unit lasts 22 years.

What is difference between 521 eco dst and 521 ppu eco dst?

Hi, Kwng! Thank you for your question. The difference between the 521-ECO-DST and the 521-PPU-ECO-DST is the drain assembly. The 521-PPU-ECO-DST has a plastic pop up drain assembly while the 521-ECO-DST has a metal pop up drain assembly. Best Regards, Rosanna

The installation instructions call out silicone. Is this silicone grease or silicone RTV?

Is the Aerator a charcoal filter as well?

I have three 521-ppu-eco-dst bath faucets.  Delta sent warranty replacements of RP54977 1.2 aerators.  And rp60730 key.   When I look the aerator for my model is RP60983 1.5.  Will the RP54977 fit the Classic?  It says it’s the Lahara.

Hi Johnp, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet 521-PPU-ECO-DST. A replacement aerator will depend on the manufacture date of the faucet. RP54977 1.2 should fit a faucet made after 2011. Can the Classic be mounted on a classic three hole sink? I noticed that the Foundations says it is a Deck Mount--meant for on a countertop?
