Delta® Touch2O® with Touchless Technology helps keep your bathroom clean by giving you three ways to operate your faucet: manually with the handle, with a simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle, or by placing your hands near the faucet. The high-tech capacitance sensing capabilities of Touchless faucets allow the flow of water to be activated by breaking the capacitance field anywhere around the device, unlike traditional hands-free infrared sensors which require your hands be in a particular place and are sensitive to lighting conditions and clothing and skin color. WaterSense® labeled faucets use at least 20% less water than the industry standard — helping you save water without compromising performance. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice design but iit doesn’t work I bought 2 of these couple of months ago because I have the delta handsfree kitchen faucet that works great. I thought these would be great in my bathroom, specially for kids. However, these faucets are turning on and off on its own when not in use. It also keeps going back to 1 minute timer even during use. It defeats the purpose of touchless when you have to keep tapping and more often than not, tapping doesn't work either. I isolated the wires to no avail. Love the design but products are either defective or need some quality redesign.It’s quite a disappointment and frustrating to use. I hope these can be replaced or return.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great piece of work-when it works. Have owned 4 (2 bathroom faucets and 2 kitchen faucets) with the 02 technology for approx 6 years. About every 2-2 1/2 years, each one has to have replacement parts, usually the sensor that turns the water on and off.

I think the folks that invented these must have stock in Duracell batteries!! I have replaced the batteries in my bathroom sink 2 times now and they are dead again...and we have only owned the house for 4 months!! The battery pack is a stinker to get to due to the type of cabinet that was installed...I have to remove the drawers (and everything in them before I do that!). I am too old to be crawling under sinks to do this....what a pain. HOW do i disconnect the the battery permanently???

Is it possible to lengthen to time before the Dryden touch faucet automatically turns off?

I have a Delta touch faucet in the kitchen, and the water runs for 4 minutes before the faucet turns off. By comparison, my Delta touch faucet in the bathroom only runs for one minute. It takes about 3 minutes for my hot water to get to the bathroom. Therefore, I have to keep running back into the bathroom every minute to touch the faucet until the water gets hot. Can this one-minute shut-off be adjusted to a longer time? Thank you!

Hi Leesa, Thank you for your question. There is not a way to adjust the 1 minute run time on the model 551T-PN-DST faucet. This time frame is used as it would prevent the sink from overflowing if the drain stop is closed. Thanks, Dave

Does the handle have to be on (in the Manuel position) in order for the touchless to function?

Is there a way to turn off the motion sensor? It is not working correctly, and it turns on and off randomly, even when not in the room.

Follow the instructions below to shut off the proximity feature of the Delta 551T-DST Touch2o.xt faucet: 1.Put the handle in the off position 2.Wait 5 seconds 3.Tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. 4.Notice the light flashes red & blue 5.As soon as the light stops flashing, tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. The Champagne Bronze is very hard to keep clean looking. It shows water spots and streaks terribly like stainless steel. What is the best way to clean? A damp rag doesn't work to remove water spots.

Please follow the cleaning and care procedures below for your Delta 551T-CZ-DST faucet : https://www.deltafaucet.com/service-parts/frequently-asked-questions/cleaning-and-care Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes. I have this faucet and the decorative piece under the water control handle is not stuck up in the handle. It has apparently come loose, so either it was glued on or the adhesive as worn away. Is there a way to repair. Please advise.

My Dryden faucet is dripping when the handle is open and the touch(less) mode is active but not when the handle is down and the valve is manually closed. How can I fix this?

I see a small base plate in the picture for the Dryden faucet, but I received only a long 3-hole plate. Is that an error, or do I need to buy it separately?

can these be hooked direct to electric so batteries are not needed? The plastic box the batteries are in keeps popping open so i have had to use duct tape to keep it closed.
