Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty but not functional I purchased 3 of these for a new construction, each one has had a problem. For the bath shower combo the the water is not separated. Water flows out of the top and bottom. Have no idea how to make this stop. Seems like they would be set up to work without adjusting. Very dissatisfied with this delay on the job.

Q&A

I have the delta tub and shower B114900. I am trying to install the tub spout onto a 1/2" copper pipe that is 4" from my wall. It will not push flush to the wall. There is a 3/4" gap. Do I need to cut the copper pipe to 3 1/4"?

Asked by: dbrinton
Dbrinton, Thank you for your question. For a slip-on installation, the pipe should extend 1-1/2" to 2-3/4” from the finished wall. Threaded installations require a 3-7/8" to 4” pipe. Best regards, Jon

Hi, Chris. Thank you for your question. We do not recommend welding the copper pipe inside the manifold for the Delta B114915C Tub and Shower Unit. We recommend reading the instructions before installing. How to increase more hot water please sand me video

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Jimmy Patel, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have a video for adjusting the limit stop on the Delta Foundations Shower B114915C faucet model. However, to adjust the limit stop: First, remove the handle and adapter nut on the faucet and set them aside. You will now see a small black o-ring on the end of the brass stem. Remove this o-ring and again set aside. The next piece is the limit stop, you may see the words hot/cold. Rotate this part clockwise for hotter water. Each notch you move the piece, it will increase the maximum hot water by approximately 2-3 degrees. Reinstall the o-ring, adapter and handle. Please see page 7 of the instructions linked below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/88723%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

i installed a new shower control and faucet but the water pours out of shower head when running a bath. water pressure is at 35 lbs

Asked by: brian white
Hello Brian White, Thank you for your question. Based on your description of the flow from the tub/shower, you are experiencing an issue known as shower rise. This is an installation issue, which has several possible causes: The valve could be upside down. The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule. There is more than one 90-degree angle elbow. Something other than ½" smooth copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout. No push fittings. No "shark-bite" fittings. No cast or drop ear elbows. Something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. I have a foundation valve in my shower. I purchased a T14509-BL with the understanding that 13 or 14 series trim is interchangeable. Upon attempting to install I see that the 14 series product holes are further apart. What am I doing wrong?

Asked by: Bryan
Hello Bryan, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Our Delta 13/14 trim kits are interchangeable as long as the cartridge is the same. Our pre-2006 cartridge is RP19804 and post 2006 RP46074, I have included a link to both versions. If either one of these is your cartridge, you can upgrade to any new 13/14 trim kit. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP19804.html https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP46074.html Please contact us back for any further questions. I'm getting very little pressure out of my shower head and after checking the rest of the house, it's only the shower, it has the RP70538 cartridge in it. I've taken it out and rotated the cartridge 180 degrees and still no better pressure. What else can

Asked by: SparkEE
Hello SparkEE, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry the flow is low on your Delta Faucet Foundations® Monitor® 13 Series Shower Trim In Chrome MODEL#: BT13210, and I am happy to help you! Low flow is caused by a blockage or debris, we would recommend flushing the shower unit. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Hi Steve57, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model BT13410. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help!
