Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a plumber uses Well as a plumber for the last 20 years, I can say that this is the only tub and shower valve I well install personally and the only one Ive recommend. It's easy for your plumber to install and easy to repair in the future, witch saves labor cost to the costumer. Delta has figured itt out, quality and style.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from no volume control I bought this without volume control. I can't use little water for shower and the water is expensive. Not good idea to buy this kind. I suggest to switch to 17 series with volume control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick! Needed to replace an older tub/shower fixture with very specific spacing requirements. Found this combo online, it arrived quickly, and I found helpful specs on the product website that assisted our plumber's install. Great experience.

I have the delta tub and shower B114900. I am trying to install the tub spout onto a 1/2" copper pipe that is 4" from my wall. It will not push flush to the wall. There is a 3/4" gap. Do I need to cut the copper pipe to 3 1/4"?

Asked by: dbrinton
Dbrinton, Thank you for your question. For a slip-on installation, the pipe should extend 1-1/2" to 2-3/4” from the finished wall. Threaded installations require a 3-7/8" to 4” pipe. Best regards, Jon

How can this be upgraded?

We are having a new home built and the builder (Brookfield) is using this model (Foundations Monitor 13) in the bathrooms. I want to upgrade everything. Shower head, spigot, and handle, to something nicer. What Delta shower packages can I upgrade to without having to rip out the wall? Thanks... Mike
Asked by: Mike D
Hi, Mike D! Thank you for your question. Any new trim kit that starts with T13, T14, T17, and T17T will work with your existing valve body inside of your wall. Here is a link to the shower units: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/tub-and-shower-faucets Best Regards, Rosanna

Are there any parts of this that are non-metallic? If so, please identify.

Asked by: Candy
Hi Candy, Thank you for your question! The shower head, tub spout, and cartridge are non-metallic. All other parts will be metal. Best regards, Jon

I have a Scald Guard shower/bath valve that was installed in 1993. I do not know what the model was. I am looking to update the trim only.

Is it safe to assume the 1300/1400 model line trim would fit?
Asked by: mc
Thank you for your question. If your faucet turns on by turning the handle to the right or left, you have a 1300/1400 series faucet. You can use any 1300/1400 trim but you will need to keep your old cartridge. The cartridge that comes with the new trim will not work with your older valve. If you turn on your faucet by pushing up and then turning to the right or left, you have a 600 series faucet. The 1300/1400 trim will not work with the 600 series.
