Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty but not functional I purchased 3 of these for a new construction, each one has had a problem. For the bath shower combo the the water is not separated. Water flows out of the top and bottom. Have no idea how to make this stop. Seems like they would be set up to work without adjusting. Very dissatisfied with this delay on the job.

Q&A

I have a BT13410-ss and am looking for a large escutcheon plate that would match. The plate needs to be a minimum of 10"X 6.5" Any recommendations?

Asked by: Sandy
Hi, Sandy! Thank you for your question. We do have a renovation plate that matches the Brilliance Stainless Steel Finish on the Delta Monitor BT13410-SS Tub and Shower Trim Kit. The part number is RP29827SS. Here is a link to the part: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP29827SS Best Regards, Rosanna

Finish

I would like to get polished brass finish trim for my B114900 tub/shower faucet. I recently had to replace an older Delta tub/shower faucet with the B114900 (at the last minute due to faucet failure) and want the new faucet to match the remaining hardware in the bathroom. Is there a polished brass trim kit or other solution available?
Asked by: Doug
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # B114900 is only available in Chrome. If you would like to switch to the Polished Brass finish, you will need to switch out the valve to an R10000-UNBX and then pick a trim that matches what you would like.

How to increase more hot water please sand me video

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Jimmy Patel, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have a video for adjusting the limit stop on the Delta Foundations Shower B114915C faucet model. However, to adjust the limit stop: First, remove the handle and adapter nut on the faucet and set them aside. You will now see a small black o-ring on the end of the brass stem. Remove this o-ring and again set aside. The next piece is the limit stop, you may see the words hot/cold. Rotate this part clockwise for hotter water. Each notch you move the piece, it will increase the maximum hot water by approximately 2-3 degrees. Reinstall the o-ring, adapter and handle. Please see page 7 of the instructions linked below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/88723%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

How can this be upgraded?

We are having a new home built and the builder (Brookfield) is using this model (Foundations Monitor 13) in the bathrooms. I want to upgrade everything. Shower head, spigot, and handle, to something nicer. What Delta shower packages can I upgrade to without having to rip out the wall? Thanks... Mike
Asked by: Mike D
Hi, Mike D! Thank you for your question. Any new trim kit that starts with T13, T14, T17, and T17T will work with your existing valve body inside of your wall. Here is a link to the shower units: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/tub-and-shower-faucets Best Regards, Rosanna

i installed a new shower control and faucet but the water pours out of shower head when running a bath. water pressure is at 35 lbs

Asked by: brian white
Hello Brian White, Thank you for your question. Based on your description of the flow from the tub/shower, you are experiencing an issue known as shower rise. This is an installation issue, which has several possible causes: The valve could be upside down. The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule. There is more than one 90-degree angle elbow. Something other than ½" smooth copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout. No push fittings. No "shark-bite" fittings. No cast or drop ear elbows. Something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. Trying to determine if the plumber installed the shower control correctly?

We moved into a new house and the shower takes a very long time to get warm enough to use. I do not know exactly what type of shower control but it looks similar to the foundations monitor 13 series. The angle on the markings between the full off and the full hot is about 135 degrees but handle only rotates 90 degrees. I think this is why it takes so long to get warm but the plumber says that is they way they are made. He says they don't rotate the full 135 degrees even though the marking shows differently. His solution is to turn the water heater up to almost the highest temperature. I am concerned that someone will get scalded if I do that. Is the plumber correct or just trying to get out of fixing the problem?
Asked by: David
Hi David, Thank you for your question. The movement on the handle of a 13 series tub/shower faucet is approximately 90 degrees. The cartridge is equipped with a rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature. Here is a link to a How to adjust the rotational limit stop video. http://www.deltafaucet.com/shopping-tools/research/video-gallery/video.html?v=n2_uZ7wgV1I&cat= The faucet will control the water temperature, but the house hold plumbing system will control how long it takes the water to get hot. If the faucet is a long distance away from the waterheater it will take the hot water longer to get to the faucet. Thanks, Dave

I have a Scald Guard shower/bath valve that was installed in 1993. I do not know what the model was. I am looking to update the trim only.

Is it safe to assume the 1300/1400 model line trim would fit?
Asked by: mc
Thank you for your question. If your faucet turns on by turning the handle to the right or left, you have a 1300/1400 series faucet. You can use any 1300/1400 trim but you will need to keep your old cartridge. The cartridge that comes with the new trim will not work with your older valve. If you turn on your faucet by pushing up and then turning to the right or left, you have a 600 series faucet. The 1300/1400 trim will not work with the 600 series.

I installed a foundations tub filler and shower. when I turned it on the water is just coming out very slowly. I know my pressure is good coming in. Is there a troubleshooting area I can read to see what may be wrong?

Asked by: Steve57
Hi Steve57, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model BT13410. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! I first recommend removing the showerhead or tub spout. Flush the shower with full mix hot and cold with the showerhead or tub spout removed to clear trapped debris. The cartridge bonnet should be hand-tightened. The pressure balance valve needs both hot and cold water pressure to function correctly. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan
