Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pretty but not functional I purchased 3 of these for a new construction, each one has had a problem. For the bath shower combo the the water is not separated. Water flows out of the top and bottom. Have no idea how to make this stop. Seems like they would be set up to work without adjusting. Very dissatisfied with this delay on the job.

I am having trouble adjusting the setting for hot water mix. It seams to change from shower to shower. What do I have to do to get it wright?

Asked by: Carl
Hello Carl, Thank you for your question! I am happy to assist you! The Delta B114915C shower cartridge rotational limit stop can be adjusted by removing the handle and trim sleeve. After removing them, the handle adapter and o-ring can be pulled off. From there, the blue limit stop can be pulled off and rotated counterclockwise to allow for hotter water. Once it has been rotated, the stop can then be placed back onto the cartridge and all additional components can be installed into place as well. Please contact us back with any further questions. I have a foundation valve in my shower. I purchased a T14509-BL with the understanding that 13 or 14 series trim is interchangeable. Upon attempting to install I see that the 14 series product holes are further apart. What am I doing wrong?

Undoubtedly during the remodel, the valve was not set at the correct depth and the shower walls are already installed. The 3 1/8 screws that that came with the valve to hold the trim ring are about a quarter of an inch short. Suggestions?

Asked by: opc_sc
Hi opc_sc, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The distance from the stringer to the front of the plasterguard is 2 3/4" ± 1/4"(70 mm ± 6 mm). This is the same distance to the finished wall. If the valve installation does not meet these requirements the valve will need to be reinstalled. We appreciate your inquiry. Asked by: SparkEE
Hello SparkEE, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry the flow is low on your Delta Faucet Foundations® Monitor® 13 Series Shower Trim In Chrome MODEL#: BT13210, and I am happy to help you! Low flow is caused by a blockage or debris, we would recommend flushing the shower unit. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend do this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole
