Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well, they need to return to a plaster shield. Diverter worked well with only a few bugs. Diverter no longer comes with plaster shield making getting it flush more difficult, the was also no way to reach thru from the front to put screws into back wall. Basically wound up screwing the valve to a board then nailing the board in flush.

water loss when coecting to tub spout

will there be water loss if you conect this tem directly to tub spout

Dear Jkrame, Thank you for your question. We do not recommend connecting a tub spout to this Delta 3-Setting Diverter T11859 unit. The flow rate from the diverter will not be great enough to spout the flow rate needed for a tub spout. The tub spout must be connected to the bottom port of the main MultiChoice Universal Rough-In R10000-UNBX valve. Best regards, Tanya

Does this come with the valve, as well as the cartridge? Or must the valve be purchased separately?

Hello IHK 67, Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic T11859-BL 3-Setting Diverter Trim comes with the RP51918 3-functions diverter cartridge assembly. This cartridge will allow you to switch between two shower components individually as well as a shared setting. We want to use a rain head, hand head and regular shower head with these but we want them to work individually. Will we need the non shared cartridge or would we need to go up to a 3 port diverter trim instead of a 2 port?

Hi, trey! Thank you for your question. The Delta T11859-BL will work with only two shower components. We recommend to use T11959-BL, this will allow 3 shared settings and 3 individual settings, 6 settings in all. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does this diverter come with a backplate?  If not does it require a backplate?

Hi! Im trying to install this diverter in my shower but in my case my hand shower is at my right side and the 3 positions diverter only works on my left where I don't have anything, It's possible to use it on the center and the right positions?

Hello Nmbatino, Thank you for your question. To have the Delta 3-Setting Diverter Trim T11859-CZ function properly, you would need to cap off the right side port of the diverter valve. If you decide to cap off the left port instead of the right port, you will need to purchase separately the 6-setting RP51919 diverter cartridge. This would provide you with your three function settings and a few dead spots. Best regards, Tanya

With this diverter, do you still have to pull up on the diverter attached to the downspout to get the shower to work or does this negate that step?

Hi lawillis, Thank you for your question. We recommend to have the diverter tub spout connected to the bottom port of the R10000 valve. In this setup, water will always flow to the tub spout first. The diverter on the tub spout will then send water to the 3-Setting Diverter. We do not recommend connecting a diverter tub spout to one of the exit ports of the diverter valve. Best regards, Jon
