Easy on and off without any buttons or dials to fool with. I have these in champagne gold and keep the water spots at bay by wiping them with mineral oil once a week!

It was one of the lesser expensive choices I made so I assumed price would reflect the difference but in this case I was wrong. I only wish I had used this style in the master bathroom where I spent twice as much and got the same quality .

Is the valve cartridge included when I buy the Vero Monitor 14 Valve Trim?

I know we have to buy the valve separately but not sure about the valve cartridge Also, can we use this valve for shower ONLY; no tub? MultiChoice(R) Universal Tub and Shower Valve Body - R10000-UNBX Thanks for your time!

Hi m66, Thank you for your question. The cartridge will ship with the T14053 trim. You can use the R10000-UNBX in a shower only application. You will cap off/plug the tub port on the valve. Thanks, Dave

This says valve only trim. What does that mean? Just the trim or just the valve or both? Very confusing even to someone who has been doing home improvements for most of my 64 yrs.

Will T14053 turn the water off?

Thank you for the reply to my previous question, I don't know how to reply to it. My question wasn't really answered, maybe I confused you with the addition of my plan details, I'll leave it out this time. It's my understanding that T14053 is a trim, that also ships with the valve? I know that R10000-UNBXHF is the housing for the valve and supports this trim style T14053. My question is will T14053 turn the water off? or is it just a thermostatic valve? If that is what Delta's Monitior technology means? Some valves will only change the temperture of the water, and will not shut them off - in those cases you would need to add volume control valves. That is why I'm asking. Thank you

Thank you for your question and I apologize for the confusion. Delta Faucet model # T14053 is an on/off valve. The handle controls the temperature only. The volume is not controllable.

I currently have the silverton collection purchased at Home Depot by my contractor for my tub &shower fixtures.  I'm looking to replace them with the Vero 14 series tub faucet, shower & tub trim. Are they compatible-if I can use the same valves?

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your question. As long as the screw holes on your large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then the Delta Vero T14053 and any of our trim kits that start with a T13 or a T14 will interchange for you. What is the difference between T14053 and T17053? Will either work with 55530 in conjunction w/T17253?
