I prefer the 1700 models that you can control the. Volume of water and the tempretures bot h individually. Its worth the extra $30 to $35. To go with this option . Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, feels cheap As mentioned above, almost everything you can see (the trim, tub spout, and the shower head) are all plastic. The paint job on the plastic is pretty good. It looks like metal even close-up. Once you touch the thing, it feels VERY cheap. Functionally, it works great. I just can't get over the plastic. I ended up just installing the shower head because I have it about 7 feet up, out of reach for most. I am saving the trim to give to my parents when they need to do a remodel. I bought this for the cool look. I ended up using a Kohler setup that was all metal. Yes, it cost much more, but when spending 600k on a home build I did not mind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap plastic I just got the Vero 2 lever shower trim and the larger lever is metal but the smaller lever is plastic coated with chrome color. Looks nice brand new but the last thing I want in my $10,000 bathroom remodel is a plastic faucet. It's going back. No info on the box about that and the plumbing supply person didn't say a word so beware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from really cheap-don't do it! This set looks good until you touch it. Tub filler IS plastic, in fact about 90% of what you see is plastic....very disappointing. Spend your money on the real thing, not this costly but cheap plastic imitation of chrome. I should have trusted the one bad review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and Not so Good The product overall looks great. Complements a modern bathroom well. Shower head and controls are well made and functional. Great water flow through the large Shower. I was dissapointed with the bathtub fixture. It appears in all of the pictures to be the same material as the shower head and controls, however it is actually crome covered plastic. It looks fine installed, but I am concerned about it's shelf life. Overall though, for the price I think it is a great deal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality parts While the handle and faceplate of this trim kit seems to be of decent quality, the shower head and tub spout are chrome plated "PLASTIC"! Perhaps I can understand a showerhead made completely of plastic, but the tub spout??? With the exception of the tub/shower trim in the Vero collection, the quality of the other items in the Vero collection (faucets, etc.) seem OK.

what material is this made of? metal or is this plastic?

The Delta Vero 14 Series Tub and Shower T14453-H2O faucet use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. Can this product be installed on an older non-multi choice monitor 1400 series valve?

Hi Lee, Thank you for your question. The T14453-H2O trim will work with your existing 1400 series valve. The new trim will ship with a new RP46074 cartridge, this cartridge will not fit your existing rough in valve. You will have to continue to use the existing cartridge or order a new RP19804. Can you add a wall mount hand shower to this Product?

yes, but the look will not be the same. You will need a diverter valve and diverter trim to select the hand shower on and turn it off. pick a diverter valve trim and hand shower that you think goes with this design.

What are the cleaning procedures for the metal and plastic parts of the Vero series faucets and shower products. After installation they need cleaning and shining, but I do not want to use the wrong product to clean them.

Hello Scott M, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to the build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward.
