Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful update to old bathroom! Love this set. The only reason why I am giving it a four star rating is because when you first use, the water is not hot. I had to do quite a bit of research to realize that there is a setting behind the knob that you can adjust to allow more of a hot water flow. This information was not given in the instructions. I ended up calling Delta support, and they were very helpful. Once the hot water was adjusted, there has been nothing but nice, warm, enjoyable showers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stylish but functional limitations This model is more expensive than other options but I went with it anyway because it is stylish, well-constructed, and has separate controls for volume and temperature. At this price point you might expect the shower spray to be adjustable but it's not. Given that lack of functionality, I was hoping the spray style would be generic, middle-of-the-road but instead it is very strong. Some people here (including but not limited to children) are refusing to use it because of that. A second problem is that the bath faucet is angled straight down instead of pointing a bit outwards from the wall (or else the faucet should protrude further out from the wall). As a result, the falling stream hits the overflow cap and wall before it hits the bottom (see photo). You cannot put anything bigger than a few fingers into the stream. I don't see how our installer could have done anything differently, it's just the way it is designed. Given that it's well-made it will probably work reliably for a long time, but we find ourselves secretly wishing it would break so we could justify replacing it with something more functional.

1. What tub &quot;drain assembly&quot; do you make for this (T17459-SS) in stainless finish? 2. What is/are the difference(s) between the R10000-LBX or R10000-UNBX valves? Thanks.

Hi, Steve! Thank you for you question. The Delta RP693SS bath waste assembly is the tub drain that we make in the Brilliance Stainless Steel finish to match the T17459-SS. The Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000-UNBX and R10000-LBX rough valve bodies are the exact same. The R10000-LBX rough valve is exclusive to Lowe's. will this fit on to the brass adapter that has been soldered on to 1/2in copper pipe?

water not hot enough

I love the look of this but I cant get the water hot enough. I checked it and it is 112 degrees and all the other faucets in the house are 139 degrees. A plumber came over and made an adjustment from the back side of the unit (back wall and pipe exposed and accessible). He said that the only way to make the water hotter is to remove the scald guard. Is that correct? or is there another way? I also have the wall mounted handheld shower installed. Not sure if you needed to know that. Please advise

Hi Psychetri, I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with your faucet and I would be happy to help. The increase the maximum hot water input for your faucet, you will need to adjust the rotational limit stop. To do this, remove the temperature handle but feeling behind the handle and prying off the outer cover. Remove the philips screw to remove the next piece. You will then see a round piece that looks like a gear. Each notch you move this piece counter clockwise will increase your maximum hot water temperature by 3-4 degrees.

Does this come with a matte black tub drain stopper?

Why does then spout installation manual show (4) possible installations with no sizes for any. Can you provide the necessary additional detail for each type so that the instructions can be used?

Hi, NotHappy. Thank you for your question. The instructions that are included with the Delta Monitor T17459-BL Tub and Shower Faucet are general instructions for all of our Monitor 17 Series units. Our Monitor 17 Series units do include different types of tub spout assemblies and we've included all of the tub spout instructions so that they're easily accessible for our customers. I have included a link to a maintenance and installation sheet, that covers several tub spouts we manufacture. For installation instructions on model RP73371BL, the tub spout assembly that is included with the Delta Monitor T17459-BL Faucet, please refer to page 5, diagram C1. how do you remove the temperature control cover? I thought you would just pop it off; but, I've pulled with considerable strength and it doesn't pop off.
