Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful update to old bathroom! Love this set. The only reason why I am giving it a four star rating is because when you first use, the water is not hot. I had to do quite a bit of research to realize that there is a setting behind the knob that you can adjust to allow more of a hot water flow. This information was not given in the instructions. I ended up calling Delta support, and they were very helpful. Once the hot water was adjusted, there has been nothing but nice, warm, enjoyable showers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stylish but functional limitations This model is more expensive than other options but I went with it anyway because it is stylish, well-constructed, and has separate controls for volume and temperature. At this price point you might expect the shower spray to be adjustable but it's not. Given that lack of functionality, I was hoping the spray style would be generic, middle-of-the-road but instead it is very strong. Some people here (including but not limited to children) are refusing to use it because of that. A second problem is that the bath faucet is angled straight down instead of pointing a bit outwards from the wall (or else the faucet should protrude further out from the wall). As a result, the falling stream hits the overflow cap and wall before it hits the bottom (see photo). You cannot put anything bigger than a few fingers into the stream. I don't see how our installer could have done anything differently, it's just the way it is designed. Given that it's well-made it will probably work reliably for a long time, but we find ourselves secretly wishing it would break so we could justify replacing it with something more functional.

The &quot;coldest&quot; position on the temperature setting is still quite hot. How do I modify that?

Hi, Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience with your Delta Faucet Company product. I am also more than happy to have this opportunity to help you. The temperature can be adjusted by rotating the knob on the front of the volume handle. The Rotational Limit Stop can be adjusted to set the maximum temperature. To do this, remove the temperature knob cover by prying it by hand at the tip. This should pop it off of the gray knob, allowing you to remove the Phillips head screw. Pull off the knob to access the RLS and set it to the desired position. Please refer to section 4 of the Installation Instructions for more information. I have read that the shower head is abs but is the tub spout also plastic? WE have the vero tub shower trim in our other bathroom and the spout is plastic

Can this be used with a monitor 17 series cartridge?

Hi Margaret, Thank you for your question! This trim will work on current R10000 rough-in valves or existing 1700 series valves. If you have an older 1700 series unit, you will need to use the original cartridge (or an RP32104) rather than the cartridge that comes with the trim kit. Thanks, Jon

Our Delta Faucet Trinsic&reg; Monitor&reg; 17 Series H2Okinetic&reg; Tub &amp; Shower Trim In Chrome MODEL#: T17459 and T17T259 would work with any of our R10000 universal valves. When opening the wall and installing a new unit, we recommend using the R10000-UNWS because this valve comes with stops. How well does the black matte hold its finish? Will it wear off over time?

Hi there, is it possible to get this trim without the tub spout and without a shower head? It's for a shower only setup and I already have a nice delta showerhead (head only) in matte black I can repurpose. would need the rest of the trim, rough-in etc.

When the temperature handle is turned to the hottest setting, the temperature of the water is not as hot as the water from my sink faucet. I am wondering if this is a safety feature or if the shower trim was not installed properly?

Upgrading from an old 1700 series to this one, T17459. New RP46463 cartridge does not fit the valve body. Do I need to change the valve body or is there another cartridge that is compatible with the old valve body and new T17 Trim kit? Will RP32104 work?

purchased the trinsic 17 kit to update an existing bathroom. The old series 17 has a larger diameter trim piece behind the wall valve (about 7-7/8&quot;). the new black trim piece measures 6.5&quot;. Do you sell a larger dia trim to cover the wall hole?, 7.25&quot;?

Why are you manufacturing PLASTIC tub spouts? Do you have ANY delta tub and shower faucet kits that offer a metal tub spout?

Non-metallic materials can be beneficial in that they cannot rust or corrode. In the Trinsic collection, the RP93273 tub spout is metal.
