Rated 1 out of 5 by Jerry from Not for modern kitchens BEWARE of using a "classic" faucet with a new countertop! The 3/8-16 studs that hold the faucet down are not long enough for a modern composite (quartz) countertop. My installer was barely able to start the threads of the plastic washer/nuts that come with the faucet. Installation is questionable at best. Worst of all, there is no dimensional information or warning available in the instruction manuals for these faucets. No way to head off the problem. Delta should either state that they're not compatible with modern countertops or discontinue them altogether!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Don't make the same mistake I did... I initially purchased this same faucet 23 years ago when I worked for another central PA plumbing & heating wholesaler. The quality of that faucet, compared to the current faucet I just bought, was way better. I could not believe how far the quality of Delta has declined. This current faucet is about what faucets were like, that were installed in mobile homes 25 years ago. If I would have known that Delta's quality had declined that much, I would have looked at some other manufacturers, like Moen. I trusted the name, which is why I didn't check it out before I bought it. BIG mistake. However, check it out. Maybe it's better than what you now have. For me, I don't think I'll be buying another Delta.

This Faucet is what made Delta Faucet what it is today. I hope Delta never stops manufacturing it. This is also the same Faucet that was in the Kitchen on the TV Show Bewitched, back in 1964. As they say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." or "Don't reinvent the Wheel." This Delta Faucet has a truly Elegant Classic Style that the modern ones just don't have. Many of the modern styles today look like something out of a Dr. Seuss childrens book. Thank you Delta, for manufacturing sure a great classic!

Is the classic compatible with a Brit’s filter?

Other than appearance, what is the difference between this faucet and the 400-DST?

Thank you for your question, CarlyD! The 400LF-WF has copper water lines, with 1/2" inch IPS connection fittings. The 400-DST has PEX water supply lines that have 3/8" inch compression fittings, which connect directly to the hot and cold water shutoffs. Best Regards, Benjamin

I have an older model 400WF that came with a white sprayer. Is there a faucet kit that still includes the white sprayer or any other color sprayer? I don’t want to buy the sprayer separately. I’m looking for a whole kit, that includes the sprayer.

I have a recently installed Delta LF-WF faucet with side sprayer.  The button on the sprayer no longer disengages as soon as you release it, it continues to spray then gradually releases.  Is a replacement sprayer head available?  Thank you.

I have a delta 400 with the side sprayer, I’d like to remove the sprayer and hose completely, could I cap the connection after removing the hose if so what type of cap would you recommend

I have a delta 400LF-WF and I am trying to print the maintenance and installation sheet but the information will not load on my computer.  I am trying to figure out why the faucet will not rotate the 360 it is suppose too.  Mine will not move at all.
