Thank you for your question, Dave! There is a rectangular blue clip, that has u shaped openings, which secure the hose to the main water line. You can simply slide that blue clip off the hose, by hand. We do not recommend removing any of the other water lines, connected to the faucet. The hot and cold lines, and the water line that connects to the hose can not be removed, without damaging the whole faucet. This can happen through normal use, depending on the water conditions in your area. It is also possible that sediment or debris is trapped in the faucet. Hi Ingrid, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 4140-DST. An adapter would be needed to replace the cache aerator with 21.5M size male threads. Also, we have not tested our pull-out or pull-down wands when using a water filter. Our concern would be leaking between modes with the back pressure caused by these add-on devices. Hello custerhank, We apologize for the noise when closing your Delta faucet. We are happy to help. The issue is likely caused by debris from the water supply in the valve cartridge. We recommend flushing and if the issue remains, replace the part number RP50587 cartridge. To flush the faucet, turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies.
