Rated 1 out of 5 by from Diverter Valve My plumber just finished installing this, and we placed the trim on, only to find out that the diverter valve assembly (model RP40668) is defective. It is a plastic part and has two (2) holes in it that should not be there. Now have to go back to the supply house and get the new part. Not happy about this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely difficult to install. Instructions are exceptionally POOR! This took our plumber, AFTER it being roughed in, more than 2 hours to install. The instructions are exceptionally poor, with few graphics and text about the size of 4 point font. They'd rather print it in 6 languages than give you quality instructions. Also, using this with a tub filler faucet, the part that allows you to divert it to a hand shower, for instance, is NOT suitable for all Deltas... Even after screwing the tilt bar into it, its very loose and almost certain to give way later. Probably the second time its used. Tile installers also need to pay special attention to cardboard, its critical and not pictured here. Also very overpriced.

If I only get hot water for an brief second when turned on and then luke warm water follows, do I have a reversed input on the cold or hot side? It seems like cold water is bypassing and mixing when only the hot is turned on. New construction and install.

R4707-PX

What is the flow rate for this? I thought I saw where is was 18 GPM. Can the input for this - 1/2 pex - even provide 18 GPM?

Hi Bill, Thank you for your question. This valve does not have a designated flow rate as it will be determined by the pressure in the home. There is no flow restrictor device in our Roman Tub valves or spout assemblies. However, 15+ gallons per minute is common with 40-60 PSI. Best regards, Jon

Does this valve limit outgoing water temperature to 120 degrees as required by the uniform plumbing code and ASSE 1070

Hi, Gary! Thank you for your question. The Delta R4707-PX does not limit outgoing water temperature and does not have the ASSE 1070 certification. If your local codes require this, we recommend installing a R2570-MIXLF on the hot water supply line. his is a thermostatic mixing valve that requires you connect a hot and cold supply line to it and set the maximum temperature you want to pass out of the unit to the hot side of the 2 handle roman tub valve. The thermostatic element in this product will satisfy any scald prevention code. Is the R4707-PX compliant with California's code (CPC)? if not, how do I accomplish this? For example, CPC states "The water-filler valve in bathtubs/whirlpools shall have a temperature limiting device set at a maximum of 120˚ F." (CPC 408.3.2, 409.4)

Hi, Thank you for your question. The Delta R4707 does not limit outgoing water temperature and does not have the ASSE 1070 certification. I'm replacing a faucet with pre drilled holes (4) with a R4700-PX. Will a 3/8 in. Compression x 3/8 in. Compression x 36 in. Length Braided Stainless Steel Dishwasher Connector work as a leader hose for the sprayer? Thanks for your help.
