Rated 1 out of 5 by from Diverter Valve My plumber just finished installing this, and we placed the trim on, only to find out that the diverter valve assembly (model RP40668) is defective. It is a plastic part and has two (2) holes in it that should not be there. Now have to go back to the supply house and get the new part. Not happy about this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely difficult to install. Instructions are exceptionally POOR! This took our plumber, AFTER it being roughed in, more than 2 hours to install. The instructions are exceptionally poor, with few graphics and text about the size of 4 point font. They'd rather print it in 6 languages than give you quality instructions. Also, using this with a tub filler faucet, the part that allows you to divert it to a hand shower, for instance, is NOT suitable for all Deltas... Even after screwing the tilt bar into it, its very loose and almost certain to give way later. Probably the second time its used. Tile installers also need to pay special attention to cardboard, its critical and not pictured here. Also very overpriced.

Does the cold valve open 180 degrees clockwise and the hot open 180 degrees counter-clockwise? Thanks.

Thank you for your question, Steve! That is correct, the cold valve opens 180 degrees clockwise and the hot valve opens 180 degrees counter-clockwise unless you are using the removable 1/4 turn stops which restricts the handle movement to 90 degrees on lever style handles. Best regards, Edward

Do you have a rough-in kit with treaded connectors at the end of the copper tubing?

Do you have a rough-in kit with threaded connectors at the end of the copper tubing? Usually 3/8 in O.D. Original builder drilled holes in the bathtub in wrong places and off center. I want to assemble the kit using flexible water supply hoses out of the hardware store like Home Depot or Lowe’s. Soldering is very difficult because there is not enough space for bending radius. Hi Michael, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we do not make a rough-in valve with threaded supply connections. With the R4707 (no suffix) you may be able to solder the spout Tee and solder threaded fittings onto the supplies prior to installation. http://www.deltafaucet.com/bath/details/r4707.html Best regards, Jon

How does flow get diverted between the hand held and the fill spout?

Thank you for your inquiry, Bob B! The diverter assembly in the spout part, of the Roman Tub Rough-In Valve R4707-PX connects to the lift rod on the top of the spout assembly. When the lift rod is pulled up, it diverts the water to the spout. Best regards, Tanya

I am looking to replace the stem units in these with a quarter turn versions. Is that possible? If yes what part number stems should I purchase?

Hi, Kseba! Thank you for your question. 1/4" stops can be added to the stem unit assemblies for the Delta R4707-PX valve rough. The 1/4" stop part is RP24097. If the whole stem unit assembly with the 1/4" stop is needed, the part number is RP25513.
