All good but noisy
The faucet looks good and works fine except it is loud when the faucet is turned on. The sound of high-pitched water flow is much louder than any faucet I have ever used.

I just replaced 3, twenty yr. old faucets with this great choice. It updated my bathrooms immediately along with some new towels. I excecially liked the lifetime warranty that came along with my purchase. Most products made today are not made to last and have little or no warranty. The fact that Delta stands behind their products is a sure sign of a quality fixture.

Prices for Lahara centerset bathroom faucets, chrome and steel -- $176.95 or $157.50 or $240 something? Also, need a centerset faucet with valves to extend the shanks. Are there extenders for Lahara centerset? For the Everly centerset?

Thank you for your question. At this time, our Delta Lahara 2538-MPU-DST and the Everly 25741LF Centerset Faucets do not have extension options. The maximum deck thickness for the 25741LF Faucet is 1 3/8" (35 mm). The maximum deck thickness for the 2538-MPU-DST is 2 1/4" (57 mm).

HOW DO CLEAN THE SCREEN IN THE SPOUT

Thank you for your question. The cached aerator in the Delta Lahara Lavatory 2538-RBMPU-DST can be removed with an aerator wrench designed specifically for the faucet. We recommend to remove the aerator and soak this in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mix for cleaning. Could you please tell me the part number for the wrench which should be used to remove the aerator from this faucet? The wrenches for our faucets were not left by the builder. I have purchased RP52217, which is too large, and will not work.

Hello, can the metal pop-up be removed? I have a personalize sink and the drain installation is a bit different than the average, I really don't need the pop up, but I love this specific model. Will it work without it?

The Lahara says it needs a 2.5" minimum to the backsplash but how is that measured, from the backsplash to the base or the backsplash to the highest point of the spout?

Thank you for your question, SBDH! The Lahara centerset two handle lavatory faucet is currently only offered with a metal pop up drain assembly. All two handled lavatory faucets will lift rods on the back of them, so they will also come with pop-ups to connect the rods below the sink.

The clearance from the center line of the 2538-DST to a back splash is shown as 1-1/8". The discontinued 2538 is shown as 2-1/2". It does not appear that the physical dimensions of the 2 faucets are any different. What is the correct dimension?

can the water restrictor be removed

Model 2538-MPU-DST does not contain a Flow Restrictor but does use a Cashe or "hidden" aerator which can be removed and swapped out for a higher flow rate if needed. We do not recommend leaving the aerator out of the spout as this is intended to help soften the stream and prevent splashing.
