Rated 3 out of 5 by from terrible design, aerator impossible to remove Nice looking faucet and works fine. But God help you if you don't frequently remove the aerator and clean it - if you don't, after a while it gets completely calcified in place, and you then won't be able to remove it at all (and the plastic wrench it comes with to remove the aerator is a joke, even if it isn't stuck in place). Soaking it in vinegar and Lime Away did nothing: you may end up (like me) having to chisel, drill, and pry the aerator out. I did not know there is another piece above the aerator attached to a small plastic water tube that comes down the neck of the faucet - I destroyed that piece, and now the whole thing is useless. So I'm having to replace the entire faucet after only ~10 years. Moral of the story: remove and clean the aerator frequently, before it gets permanently stuck!!

I excecially liked the lifetime warranty that came along with my purchase. Most products made today are not made to last and have little or no warranty. The fact that Delta stands behind their products is a sure sign of a quality fixture.

How do you fit the Delta Cartridge RP60400 into the Lehara DEL 2538

Hi Sam, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 2538-SSMPU-DST Lahara® Two Handle Centerset Bathroom Faucet In Stainless. We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. The Diamond Seal RP60400 valve cartridge can be replaced by turning off the water supply, loosening the handle set screw, and removing the handle and bonnet nut. Note the orientation of the old cartridge and replace it with the new one. I have a lahara 2538 ssmpu-dst faucet. it is leaking through the valve. the valve listed is different than the one in my faucet. Also, I have a conical spring and a cylindrical washer that fits over the spring, but I don't see those two parts listed.

Our newer house has Delta products throughout all bathrooms/kitchen. Our one master sink faucet has been leaking out of the hot water side. It's model: 2538-SSMPU-DST. Would this be an indication of needing new springs & seats/gaskets?
