Don't buy this faucet
Worst faucet we've ever owned. Bought a house with 5 yr old Vero faucets in two bathrooms. First, the water stream is very weak. Second, we had a leak coming out through the hot water handle. Shut water off, removed set screw, but was unable to remove the handle to get to the (probably) defective cartridge. I tried everything. Called Delta this morning and the Representative walked me through instructions on how to remove the handle, but I warned her the instructions did not seem accurate and could damage the faucet. Sure enough, the turning counterclockwise motion broke something inside the handle assembly and the handle still did not come off. VERY frustrating. Now I have to get a plumber involved to remove the entire faucet and buy another one. Delta was not helpful at all.

pretty but disappointed
Very attractive, but we had to return because the water flows out in 2 streams, 3 streams, even 4 streams and the handles were loose. We ordered a replacement and the handles are fine, but intermittently still having water flow coming out in multiple streams, Expected higher quality at this price point

Leaking handles after only 5 years in use.
I have 2 sinks in our bathroom with these faucets. They look great but started leaking after a few years of use. Started first with the hot water faucet in one sink, then the other sink and then all the handles! Drain plug no longer works either .Customer service is horrible. Want to send me part to replace that I will have to pay a plumber to do, when these faucets are $945 and should last over 20 years! Do not buy these products.

Too expensive. Design doesnt hold up well
Looks great new. Have never had a rectangle shaped faucet. This has not held up well. After 7 years of use the stream/flow is very small. All of the other delta faucets in my house are the traditional round and have had now issues. This is too expensive to not last.

I thought this was the perfect faucet for our remodel. Sadly the water flow splashes all over the place. I can’t take it getting wet every time i use the sink or using the sink as a trickle if I want to avoid this. I’m hoping the issue is that the spout is not aerated. I’m going to replace with something aerated and see what happens.

Even since install the hot and cold handles do not lie completely straight when in the off position. How do you adjust it?

If the base of the handle is not appropriately placed then the lever will also stop short of center. How can I adjust the handles so they stop when turning them
When I add the bonnet under the handle the handles do not catch on the stops so the handle goes all the way around. Is there a way to adjust the valve up or should I not use the plastic bonnet on top of the valve cover?

Thank you for your question. Please refer to diagram B in section 1 of the instructions. Please make sure that the top glide ring (5) is installed with the flat side face up. Please also be sure to press the handle (6) down until it is flush with the handle base (7).
Please also make sure that the top retainer (8) is threaded all the way down onto the valve. You may need to loosen the mounting nut to thread the retainer.

How do you remove the filter from the spigot. We have a new construction and when we turned the faucet on for the first time it was blocked with debris. No tool was provided to remove it.

Thank you for your question. Based on the "Maintenance" section of the below Maintenance/Installation document link, page 4. It states that you can pull out the stream straightener out of the end of the spout, with a long nose plier. This tool would not come in the box with the faucet.

Any cleaning tips or reccos on products for the Venetian bronze finish? I’m having some calcium buildup. The maintenance tip sheet just says warm water.

Thank you for your question. Although our finishes are extremely durable, they may be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, we recommend simply wiping with a gentle damp cloth and then blotting dry with a soft towel.
If water deposits are especially troublesome, you may use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water to remove them. White vinegar is strong enough to dissolve mineral deposits, yet mild enough not to damage our finishes.
Note: Please be aware white vinegar may stain some porous materials like untreated stone. If you have an unsealed tile or counter top, please take care when cleaning your products.
If you’d prefer using a chemical cleaning product, our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner, Fantastic® All-Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturer’ instructions.
Any cleaners not listed above may be tried if they do not contain hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids or similar caustic agents. Some examples of chemical cleaners to avoid are: green Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, and Soft Scrub and Tile Cleaner.
Note: Any products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust will most likely harm the finished products.
Most drain cleaners may be used when following their specific directions and not allowing exposure to the finish longer than 30 minutes.

Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet had a flow rate of 1.5 gpm at 60 PSI in 2012. To comply with all states current plumbing codes and restrictions the flow rate of this Vero faucet converted to 1.2 gpm at 60PSI, starting July 1, 2016.

These two stem units are interchangeable. The RP24096 will allow the handle to turn a full 180 degrees while the RP25513 (which uses the RP24097 quarter turn stop) only allows the handle to turn 90 degrees to be in the full on position.

Delta lavatory faucet model number 3553LF-SS, will this faucet work for 3 cm granite
If not can it be retro fitted for 3cm use.
I purchased this product not realizing the specs stated it was ok for up to 29mm (just under 3cm for standard granite thickness). The faucet was installed in a granite vanity and after getting the handles pushed down all the way, it is working fine. I am not sure why Delta states it won't work.

Can I hook up an aerator for this?
I own two of these faucets - we like them but since they don't have aerators water splashes all over the bathroom countertop. Is there an aerator I can buy for these or anything else I can do to stop the splashing form happening?
Hi frandrupl, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your faucet. Unfortunately the design of the spout on the model 3553LF does not allow for an aerator or aerated stream. Lowering the water flow is the only way to reduce the splashing.

During installation I noticed that the copper supply running into the faucet spigot itself is entirely loose and spins freely. I initially though perhaps this was intentional, but I thought I should check to see if it needs repair.
