Delta Vero Faucet - A Must Buy!!
The Delta Vero faucet is stunning! We love the chrome and the sleek look. The handles are comfortable to gran onto. The pressure is fine. We were concerned about pressure since our old faucets were 20 yrs old but no problems.

Don't buy this faucet
Worst faucet we've ever owned. Bought a house with 5 yr old Vero faucets in two bathrooms. First, the water stream is very weak. Second, we had a leak coming out through the hot water handle. Shut water off, removed set screw, but was unable to remove the handle to get to the (probably) defective cartridge. I tried everything. Called Delta this morning and the Representative walked me through instructions on how to remove the handle, but I warned her the instructions did not seem accurate and could damage the faucet. Sure enough, the turning counterclockwise motion broke something inside the handle assembly and the handle still did not come off. VERY frustrating. Now I have to get a plumber involved to remove the entire faucet and buy another one. Delta was not helpful at all.

pretty but disappointed
Very attractive, but we had to return because the water flows out in 2 streams, 3 streams, even 4 streams and the handles were loose. We ordered a replacement and the handles are fine, but intermittently still having water flow coming out in multiple streams, Expected higher quality at this price point

Leaking handles after only 5 years in use.
I have 2 sinks in our bathroom with these faucets. They look great but started leaking after a few years of use. Started first with the hot water faucet in one sink, then the other sink and then all the handles! Drain plug no longer works either .Customer service is horrible. Want to send me part to replace that I will have to pay a plumber to do, when these faucets are $945 and should last over 20 years! Do not buy these products.

Too expensive. Design doesnt hold up well
Looks great new. Have never had a rectangle shaped faucet. This has not held up well. After 7 years of use the stream/flow is very small. All of the other delta faucets in my house are the traditional round and have had now issues. This is too expensive to not last.

Faucet drips probably need to replace one or both cartridges, how is my question

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 3553LF-RB.
Recommended maintenance would be to replace the RP4993 seats and springs below the stem unit. The rubber seat can be damaged or worn over time.
To remove the handle, first loosen the set screw with a 3/32" hex wrench, remove the handle from the stem extender, then remove the handle base. With the water supplies turned off, unscrew the bonnet nut to access the stem.

My water pressure to the house is about 90psi (measured at my outdoor spigot). Can you tell me what approximate flow rate I should anticipate at the sink faucet? I assume it will be greater than 1.2gpm, but I am not sure about this.

How does the end valve come out? I have unscrewed the hex screw but unable to pull out the end valve. Thanks

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 3553LF.
After loosening the set screw the handle blade would no longer be attached to the stem extender. The handle blade will pull up and out from the handle base. After removing the handle base and bonnet nut, the stem assembly will pull up and out from the valve.

If the handle is difficult to remove, there may be mineral deposits from evaporated water. We recommend soaking the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinsing to help remove mineral deposits.

My 3553LF faucet is leaking from the cold handle. I would like to try to replace the seats and springs, but once I removed the set screw, the handle will not come off the stem extender. Any advice on how to remove the handle?

Our Delta Faucet Vero® Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 3553LF handle is removed by the set screw, if the handle is tight still then we would recommend soaking. Start by taking a rag and soak it in 50/50 white vinegar and water and wrap it around the handle and soak for 15-20 minutes.

Hello! I had my plumber install this faucet today. It looks very nice with the exception that the escutcheons for the hot and cold will not tighten down, they rattle. Any suggestions? Is there a tool that can help with that?

To remove this hose you will squeeze the tabs on each side of the hose. While still squeezing the tabs push the hose up then pull it down and off of the end valve.

It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue with the VERO® Widespread Bathroom Faucet MODEL#: 3553LF. To flush the system, pull out the stream straightener with a long nose plier. Turn the handles to the full on position and flush the system for 2-3 minutes. This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts.

Before beginning please ensure the water is turned off at the shut-off valve under the sink. Next, you will remove the handle set screw with a 3/32" Allen wrench. The handle and retention screw may now be removed, followed by the base and the bonnet nut. The stem unit is removed by pulling it straight up and out of the valve.
