Battery Drain
Since installation by qualified plumber this fixture has consumed batteries at fast pace. On average the 6 AAA alkaline batteries are drained every 30 days or so, leaving my faucet inoperable unless I have another 6 fresh batteries on hand.

Good When It Worked
Good when it worked, but stopped after only three months. Have done all the recommended steps in the troubleshooting videos, but the faucet still will not turn on. Likely the solenoid assembly went bad which concerns me being that it's still fairly new.

Wrong Piece In Packaging Twice
Delta has now sent two faucets where the motion sensor is SQUARE and not ROUND. The square motion sensor doesn't fit with the ROUND faucet. I have replaced the square part with a round one via the help center but that part does not FIT around the base of the faucet. The part is found in the bag marked X00108157. The replacement part is RP64168 and that still didn't fit. 2 faucets, 1 replacement part, 3 weeks later and no working faucet. Going with a different brand to avoid this headache.

My faucet turns on and off when I get anywhere near it. How can I turn off the no-touching mode to make it only respond to touch?

There is a way to turn off the touch proximity setting. Here are the instructions:
1. Put the handle in the off position
2. Wait 5 seconds
3.Tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds.
4. Notice the light flashes red & blue
5. As soon as the light stops flashing, tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds.
Prox mode is now off.
To turn Prox mode on, follow the above steps.

Thank you for your question. The aerator assembly of your Delta Lahara Lavatory 538T-DST faucet, can be removed from the end of the spout, using the provided plastic wrench (RP52217) that came with the faucet.

manual function
Can this faucet turn on manually. I am considering purchasing it for my mom's bathroom. She has Alzheimer's and I want to make sure she does not leave the faucet running all day.
Hi Delta Fan, Thank you for your question. You can place the model 538T-RB-DST in manual mode by turning the faucet on and with the water running disconnect the battery pack. If the faucet is left on in the Touch mode it will only run for 1 minute with no activity before shutting itself off.

There is a line on the side of the spout or looks like a line. I want to avoid a faucet that can collect toothpaste, etc. in any design.

I'm retrofitting my 3 hole sink faucet with this 1 hole faucet in Champaign Bronze. What is the best way to cover the existing 2 extra holes? Does delta carry hole covers or plates that match the color? Ours is about 10 inches wide.

Will this faucet work with a recirculating hot water pump?

Our faucets are rated for 20 - 100 psi, and have an Output of 120°F. Anything beyond these limitations can cause issues with performance and would not be covered under the warranty.

How to turn the touch less off

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 538T-SS-DST.
Follow the instructions below to shut off the proximity feature of the Touch2O.xt® faucets.
1 Put the handle in the off position.
2 Wait 10 seconds
3 Tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds.
4 Notice the indicator light in the faucet base flashes red & blue
5 As soon as the light stops flashing, tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds.
6 The indicator light in the faucet base will flash red & blue again.
Proximity mode is now off. To turn proximity mode on, repeat the same steps shown above.

We just installed the Lahara with Touch2O.xt® Technology. While liking the feature of the water starting with the proximity sensor, we find the water turns off very quickly. I would estimate 5 seconds. Certainly not enough time. Any solution?

The faucet intuitively starts the water flow when your hand moves close to the faucet. A 4″ sensing field around the faucet allows the entire faucet to act as a sensor for easy activation.
follow the instructions below to turn off/on the proximity feature of the Touch2o.xt faucets.
