Does the T14038 have a ceramic disc?

Hi Duke fan, Thank you for your question! The T14038 does not include a ceramic cartridge. However, we do offer the RP74236 ceramic cartridge which will work with that trim. Best regards, Brandis

Will this fit older 1400 series rough ins?

I have an older 1400 series shower/tub combo and would like to update it. Will this product fit or does it require a new rough in?

Hi Red, Thanks you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T14038 will fit your older 1400 valve as long as the screw holes are in the same position. However the cartridges will not be the same, so please do not use the cartridge that will be in your new trim. If you need to replace your old cartridge, you will need to purchase model # RP19804. Can I control both temperature and volume with the T14038 valve trim?

Hi Helen, Thank you for your question. The T14038 valve trim will only let you control temperature, not the volume. The T17038 would be the matching Lahara trim that will allow you to control both the temperature and volume. Thanks, Dave

I recently installed a T14038-RB with a R10000-UNBX. As the weather gets cold I feel the water is not warm enough even when the handle is fully at the hot end. What may possibly be the cause of this problem?

Hi, Yali! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge assembly in the unit does have a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted so that your water can become hotter. You will want to remove the set screw from the handle with a 1/8" allen wrench. Once the handle is removed you will be able to see the rotational limit stop on the front of the cartridge. To adjust the rotational limit stop: 1. Pull out the inner, off-white circle. It maybe quite stiff. 2. When pulled out far enough, the circle will turn. Left (counterclockwise=hotter, right (clockwise)=colder. 3.Release the circle once it's at the desired temperature. 4. Test the temperature, adjust the rotational limit stop as needed. What is the difference between T14038 and T14238?

Hi Sam, Thank you for your question. The T14038 is the valve trim only. The T14238 is the shower only trim that includes the valve trim, shower head, shower arm, and shower arm flange. Both trims will come with the valve cartridge. Thanks, Dave
