Monitor® 14 Series Valve Only Trim in Chrome

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T14051 is recommended to be paired with the R10000-UNBX. This valve is our multi-choice valve which means that once it goes into the wall, the consumer can change the trim without going into the wall. They can upgrade to the 1700 series if they would like or change finishes and stay in the 1300/1400 series.

Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To remove the handle, please refer to the instructions listed below! Please shut off the water supplies, grab a towel, an 1/8" inch allen wrench (for a lever handle) or philips screwdriver (for a knob handle), and a strap wrench. 1. Turn the handle on to remove excess water, and remove the handle with the allen wrench or Philips screwdriver. 2. Slide off the sleeve assembly to reveal the bonnet and the valve. 3. Using the strap wrench, please remove the bonnet nut. 4. Pull the cartridge out of the valve, and slightly wiggle if needed. 5. We recommend flushing the valve before installing a new cartridge. 6. Please shut the shower door or curtain and turn the hot and cold water supplies on for about 2 minutes. 7. Once you flush the valve, you can install the new cartridge, bonnet nut, sleeve and handle. Hi BJM 1234, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We apologize that you are not receiving your desired temperature, we are happy to help! To adjust your 1400 series temperature for hotter water, please follow the instructions below. You shouldn't need to shut your water off but keep in mind it is still possible for the water to turn on if the stem is rotated. Please gather 1/8" allen wrench for a lever handle and a philips screwdriver for a knob handle. 1. Remove your handle with your 1/8" allen wrench. The set screw should be under the lever of the handle. If you have a knob, please remove the cap on the tip of the handle. You will need a philips head screwdriver to remove the screw. 2. Pull the sleeve assembly off of the valve. This is the cylindrical part behind your handle that hides the valve body. 3. You will see a brass stem and a plastic white piece on the tip of the cartridge. The white piece has notches on it to grip it easier. 4. Please pull the white piece towards you and rotate counter-clockwise for hotter water. *Please note there is a limit to how far this will rotate, if you rotate to the hottest setting it will be the same temperature as your water heater. This is not recommended as it can cause scalding. Please also note that each notch you rotate to can range anywhere between 4 and 16 degrees Fahrenheit.* Now you are able to install your sleeve and your handle onto your valve. Turn your water on and see if this is your desired temperature. If it is, tighten the set screw or the screw and the temperature adjustment on the cartridge is done! We appreciate your inquiry.
