Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. This Brilliance Stainless finish has subtle, warm undertones which make it an excellent match with nickel or stainless steel and is extremely versatile, complementing nearly any look, be it traditional, transitional or contemporary.

My mom visits frequently and loves a shower head with handheld so I bought her the shower head she liked and needed just the controls and arm. This did the trick. I gave it 4 vs 5 stars because the valve cartridge was dripping and I had to replace it, but Delta sent me a new one immediately and it worked. Overall, great value for the money and especially nice if you have a shower head you already love.

Can you tell me specifically what each part of this item is made of?

Hi NJBuyer, Thank you for your question! The handle, sleeve, escutcheon, shower arm, flange, and screws are metallic. The cartridge assembly is comprised of both metallic and non-metallic components. Thanks, Jon

Do you recommend the Delta R10000-UNWSHF or Delta R10000-UNWS valve for this shower only trim?

How do you change temperature with this valve? Do I have to use the Delta T17259 to do that? Also which of your rough-in valves allows copper sweat conncetions?

Hello Oldmanvinyard, Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic 14 Series Shower Trim T14259-BLLHD is not designed to control volume and temperature separately. Correct, you would want the 17 Series Dual Control Shower Trim T17259-BL model. Can a handheld be attached to this instead of a shower head?

Hi ML, Thank you for your question. You can attach a handheld showerhead to the arm on a model T14259-SSLHD. Just make sure the handshower has a shower arm mount like our model 56613-SS. Thanks, Dave

So does this only control the temperature? Do i need a separate handle to turn the shower on and off?

I am confused by "temperature control only". Is there no way to control volume? Is that not necessary?

Hi Clint, Thank you for your question. The volume can only be controlled on the cold side. The handle will rotate from the off position at 3 o'clock and increase in volume as you turn it. Once full volume is reached, turning the handle further will increase the temperature of the water. Best regards, Jon
