Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality and value! We installed this shower trim on our outdoor shower. The sleek clean design fits well with the modern look of our home. Being installed outdoors I know this trim will be exposed to the harsh weather conditions of West Texas. I know this Delta fixture will hold up for years to come, but as a builder I know I will likely have to replace the fixture in the future. That is why I love Delta and their Multichoice universal valve. I can simple get a new Delta shower trim and just replace the trim and cartridge without any tear out or plumbing change which is a must for an outdoor shower!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look Our bathroom is getting some new renovations and a new shower head was in the agenda. The shower head gives our shower a modern look and the water pressure is perfect. It took a while to install but in the end, we are happy with how our shower looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Finish! Great Quality! Easy Install! I received this kit a month ago and installed it in about an hour that next weekend. The installation instructions were perfect and there's an 800 number you can call if you get really stuck. After installation, I stepped back to admire the finished product and it was breathtaking. It really changed the look of my bathroom. I've had one visitor since installation and she commented on how great it looked and on how powerful the water pressure was. Delta is pumping out some great products, so I'm a customer for life!

Q&A

Slip on installation for the tub spout

The details on the slip on installation for the tub spout is very minimal. What is the length of the pipe from the wall? Also, does any caulk need to be used? also, it says to tighten the set screen, but the white plastic middle is in the way and does not have a whole? Is the adapter supposed to be inside the white plastic piece in the middle? Very poor instructions!!
Asked by: Kevin
Thank you for your question, Kevin. The tub spout will include a brass slip-on adapter (RP33794) that you can remove from the tub spout. The 1/2" copper pipe should extend 2" to 4" from the finished wall. Install the adapter so that there is a 1/4" to 1/2" between the adapter and the finished wall. Tighten the set screw, then thread the tub spout onto the adapter. Best regards, Jon

Hi, I am looking into updating the shower/bath trim in my bathroom> I currently have a delta system installed and I am looking to update with a black trim system. Is there a way to avoid updating valves? Thx

Asked by: julie
Hello Julie, Thank you for your question. As long as the screw holes on your current Delta 13/1400 series large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then The Delta Trinsic Tub and Shower T14459-BL trim kit and any of our other trim kits that start with a T13 or a T14 will interchange for you, without having to replace the rough-in valve body in the wall. The cartridges that come with the new trim kits may not fit your valve body, so you may need to reuse your existing cartridge. Best regards, Tanya

Which valve works best? My wife ordered the trim and now I have to order the valve. You have numerous different valves listed.

Asked by: Ricky
Hi, Ricky! Thank you for your question. The Delta T14459-CZ trim kit works with any of our Delta MultiChoice R10000 rough valve body. Best Regards, Rosanna

I'm interested in the T14459-CZ, but need a hand held shower with bar as well, the 57085-CZ. What components would I need to get this set up to work?

Asked by: maroos
Hello, marcoos! Thank you for your question. There are a couple options to divert the water between the showering components. The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a T11859 Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560. The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-PK or U4929-PK. Best regards, Jon

Hi Delta, I'd like to purchase the Trinsic shower fixtures and the Trinsic wall mounted sink faucet. I'd like to know if the entire product is made of metal. I don't want to purchase an item that has plastic parts inside. Thanks!

Asked by: Brad In Brooklyn
Hello Brad, Thank you for your question. The handle, escutcheon plate, and shower arm are metal. The shower head and tub spout have non-metallic components. Best regards, Jon

It the tub spout with the Pull-Up Diverter (MODEL#: RP73371) ADA compliant? It does not list Model T14459 or T14459- LHD as ADA in the cut sheet. Is this a mistake? Thank you!

Asked by: KmarieK
Thank you for your question, KmarieK! Model RP73371 is not an ADA complaint tub spout. The valve trim on these models is considered ADA compliant, however the tub spout is a pull up diverter which does not qualify for this certification. The tub spout model RP93273 is an ADA complaint Push-button diverter tub spout that looks almost identical and can be used instead. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/RP93273 Best regards, Edward
