Need more detail instruction for copper sweat installation of the spout
The installation instruction for copper sweat installation of the tub spout is not detailed enough.
For example, how long does the copper pipe should be from the wall? And how far should the adapter be away from the wall if it shouldn't be against the wall?
Can you please clarify?
Thank you for your question. When sweating on Delta Faucet model # RP61269, you will cut the tubing 2"-4" from the finished wall. After brazing, the adapter will be 1/4"-1/2" from the finished wall.
When brazing on the adapter, remove the external o-ring first and cool the brass down prior to re-installing the o-ring. If desired, tubing may be cut off just beyond or flush with the end of the adapter.
