Great sinkLooks fantastic, drains well. I gave it a 4-star instead of 5-star because it seems to really scratch easily. We follow the instructions and never put heavy pots/pans into the sink, but our brand-new sink got pretty scratched up very quickly. (Maybe this is just normal wear-and-tear? It certainly is only a cosmetic issue -- the function is flawless.)

Nice faucet but terrible instructionsI like the design and looks of the faucet and it was easy to install with one exception. As others have noted, the instructions are terrible. For example, nowhere in the instructions does it tell you which water supply line is hot or cold. Only after searching the website for a half hour did I stumble across a video explaining that there are colored gaskets inside the compression nut that attaches to the water shut-off valves. I guess it's my bad that I didn't happen to notice these, but would it have killed Delta to add just one sentence pointing that out in the instructions?

Good faucet; a few concernsI’ve had this faucet for a year, so I’ve had a good opportunity to test it out. I just changed the batteries for the first time and that prompted me to think again about the review. The faucet responds quickly to touch. I was disappointed to learn that the touch activation is an either/or situation - either you use the touch capability OR you use the manual faucet. I thought it would be both capabilities would be available, but I’ve adapted.
My main concern is that the power spray really does nothing but get water everywhere. Even though my sink is deep and I’m careful to keep plates or pans low in the sink when I want to “blast” something off of them, water still gets everywhere. Quite honestly, even the more mild spray option has this effect. It takes a long time for hot water to really get hot, but that’s probably more on my water heater than the faucet. Overall, I”m content with the performance of the faucet and it’s easy to keep clean. It’s also always entertaining to see people new to the kitchen try to figure out what the heck is happening when they use the handle to turn on the faucet. . . .

Only sprayI bought this faucet a year ago and it worked wonderfully until the spray/stream switch broke. The switch moves but is stuck in spray mode. According to the Delta website the replacement head is $116-170 !! Half what I paid for the faucet.
It was easy to install though.

Good sprayer features and handle orientationI bought this faucet in August, 2019, partly because of the handle orientation, as there is a raised shelf right behind our sink. The faucet had one significant flaw that has now been addressed by Delta at no cost, so I'm happy to not need to replace the whole faucet.
Not too many months after buying the faucet, the magnet in the stem began to rust. This seems like a real design or manufacturing flaw, at least for units manufactured then. As the rust expanded, it made a mess pretty quickly and I picked out the magnet remains, leaving the nozzle hanging loosely.
Eventually I researched the issue; the Delta website (and Home Depot documents) don't show any replacement part for the magnet.
I submitted a support request at the Delta Faucet website, and as I try to have every Home Depot receipt sent to email, I was able to send them my receipt and they sent me a magnet replacement kit, complete with a magnet removal and insertion tool. And the kit include THREE magnet rings!
The only other thing work noting is that the hand soap dispenser handle is protected by a clear plastic layer, which has now begun to peel off, but it's not highly visible.
Just to be clear; no leaks, no other parts to replace; I just clean the nozzle every now and then.

We would like to install the base handle on the left hand side (facing sink). Looking at the RP73000 cartridge, it does not look as though you can flip it around and still have the handle rotate out towards the sink. Is there any other way to do this?
Asked by: DDad
Hi, DDad.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is not a way to change the handle to the left without the operation of the handle being opposite as well. The cartridge is not able to be flipped to change the direction of the handle. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

What color in the dishwasher overflow matches this stainless finish faucet? I would like to replace current one to match. I think your part # is 7220 ?

Hello Lone Star Mini,
Thank you for your question. The Air Gap 72020-SS would be the closest matching finish to the Delta Marca ShieldSpray Pull-Down Kitchen 19780Z-SPSD-DST faucet model.

I’m replacing an existing faucet, so my counter already has a hole. I don’t want to use the plate that comes with the Marca, so can you tell me the diameter of the faucet that sits on the counter top, so I can be sure it will fit in the existing hole?

Thank you for your question, Maxhare! The information needed for installing this faucet can be found in the technical specifications sheet for this model. I will include a link below.
