Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful design-poor engineering and construction I have had this faucet about 3 years and have had issues for the past 2 1/2+. Because of the plastic docking system, it has become extremely difficult to secure the faucet head into a secure position. If I do manage to get the head secured, it becomes near impossible to remove it. In fact, last week, I did get it to secure and upon trying to remove the head, it stuck so badly that the entire top portion separated and now will not secure back in. I am very disappointed in this faucet fore I have used Delta for years and have had very few problems in the past.

The spray vs stream button works great. The handle operation is smooth and it's easy to control the flow. Love the curved lines on it. Hose pulls out and retracts smoothly when I need to use it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality The pull-out sticks and is difficult to use. The spray holes are so small when you turn it on it goes everywhere. The securing gasket for the water line easily comes undone (causing water to flood all over and, in my case, into the floor and lower level ceiling). It looks nice but is barely functional. Disappointing.

I love the fact that it comes with a limited lifetime warranty and also that parts are readily available when necessary. My plumber highly recommended Delta faucets, and I am so glad he did.

I had it installed for a right handed person but now almost wish it would have been left handed. If you have your glass in your right hand you have to reach across to turn the water on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delta 4197 Have had this faucet for about 3 years. For 2 1/2 of those years we have been unable to slide the nozzle back into the mounted part of the faucet for fear of not being able to get it back out or breaking it. The O rings failed after having it for a little over 6 months. We finally found some to replace them, and have had to a couple of other times since, but that’s when the problems with replacing the nozzle started. We have also had problems with the metal piece at the top of the hose coming loose and leaking into our under sink cabinet. I would like to know how these problems can be resolved, because I love the looks of the faucet. It is just the look I wanted for my newly remodeled kitchen, and we’re very happy with the quality and the way it works other than the problems mentioned above.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful faucet but falling apart I had an extensive kitchen remodel done a couple of years ago, and selected this faucet based on its style and functionality. The sprayer does not fit snuggly to the base. In addition, an O-ring in the sprayer failed within the first month and a replacement sprayer was provided. Recently, one of the supply lines started to leak which caused extensive damage to the interior of the custom cabinetry as well as the flooring near the sink. The leak was not discovered until I noticed water dripping from the basement ceiling. This is very disappointing considering the cost of the faucet and now the added costs to cover the water damage.

I chose the oil rubbed bronze model and the finish is rich in color and flawless. The pull-out feature is smooth as is the transition from stream to spray. In my humble opinion this faucet can compete on every level with brands that are three times the price - Go Delta!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrated We bought this faucet online in January because we are remodeling our kitchen and I wanted one with magnetic docking. I loved the look of this faucet and in bold lettering in the heading and again in the description it said it has magnetic docking. We just got it installed and it either doesn't have magnetic docking or it doesn't work. Since we've had the faucet 90 days we cant return it even though it was advertised incorrectly. It is a pretty faucet but frustrated it doesn't have the features we specifically bought it for.

Hoping the quality lives up to the brand name, have heard some disheartening things about it. It's definitely a right-handed faucet! There was no aerator wrench in the box along with the faucet, so I contacted Delta via their website and had a brand new aerator and wrench in about a week! Impressed with the turnaround! The pull out spray makes things easier in the kitchen!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful faucet with a lot of issues I bought this faucet because I love the look of it, and I love the champagne bronze color. However, it has been one problem after the other. Initially, the hose frayed. Delta was good with replacing the hose, but you have to put it in yourself, and although it doesn't require a plumber, it's not that easy. After that, the hose started to leak from where you pull the handle out. They sent me a new hose which has a different attachment. That hose has just started fraying, so they are sending me another hose, and another part that they think might be the issue as to why the hose is fraying. It is close to where the spray pulls out, so it's not rubbing on anything underneath. I have never had this issue with any other faucet before. It's a very expensive faucet, and it should have been designed much better!

I really like the look, but I am afraid that I am going to break my rather pricey faucet. My brother and sister-in-law have the same faucet and they advised they are having the same issue with theirs. Obviously a design flaw. Please let me know what you can do to resolve the situation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hardly a Lifetime of Reliable Performance I bought this Delta Cassidy pull out sprayer faucet in Feb. 2017 and it's already failing. It's clogged, I have little water pressure, and I know it isn't the pipes since when I changed out the old faucet for this one, the pressure was about three times better than it had been. The difference was astounding. So it was the faucet that was the problem last time, and it's the faucet that's the problem again this time, and it only took a year and nine months to clog (it has been this way for about a month now). Delta advertises this as "lifetime of Reliable Performance as well as self cleaning and it's neither.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great looking but horrible construction I purchased 8 eight faucets for my house during a remodel, the bathroom, wet bar and pot fillers have been amazing and beautiful, however the pull out of the 4197-pn-dst is cheaply made and has leaked at a plastic to stainless hose connection and warped the bottom of all the new cabinetry. the o rings that hold the sprayer in place also get worn out and the faucet is hard to remove or put back in after the first year.

I’ve had this faucet for about 2 years now and the problems I’ve had with it is that pulling it out from the spout is so extremely hard that a piece of plastic from inside the spray arm broke off that holds the hose to the handle now separates when you pull it out of the base/and water sprays every where (but if I do it ever so gently it stays together) and now the metal end of the hose that meets a piece of plastic has been leaking for such a long time that I just notice the old dog bowl that was thankfully there has been collecting water for so long that the “stainless” bowl has rust on it (which tells me that it’s been leaking from day one). Going to give them a call tomorrow and rectify the proble. I’ll keep you updated if I can!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with sprayer This faucet is definitely one of my biggest regrets from our kitchen renovation. I was attracted to the style of it, but it is not functional. It is very large and sticks out quite far into the sink basin. But, the biggest problem is that, after you pull out the sprayer, it is very hard to get it to fit back into the faucet. You really have to force it in to get it to stay put. Otherwise, it kind of dangles from the faucet. Then, when you need to use the sprayer again, you have to forcibly yank it out. Because of all this yanking, the actual faucet keeps loosening from the counter and twisting around. My husband has to go under the sink to tighten the screws about once a month, and they are now almost stripped. So, now we just leave the sprayer dangling out. This is disappointing, because this was not an inexpensive faucet.

What are the major distinctions between 4197 RB DST and 4353 RB DST?

Appearance wise they are identical but with a $175.00 difference.

Hi Rich, Thank you for your question. The main difference is in the styling of the faucet. Both faucets are single handle pullouts in the venetian bronze finish . The Cassidy model 4197-RB-DST has an integrated handle with the Euro motion cartridge and more intricate design. The Linden model 5353-RB-DST has more of a transitional design. The list price difference between the 2 models is approximately $35. Thanks, Dave

Can the lever be positioned in the front?

Hi Spoobs, Thank you for your question. The lever on the model 4197-RB-DST cannot be positioned on the front of the faucet. The spout only travels 120 degrees and would not reach the majority of a sink or face completely forward. Thanks, Dave

How does the pull out arm work? Do you just pull it out and it fits back in place?

I just had this faucet installed with our new granite counter tops. I love the look, but, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information in the owner's manual/installation guide.

Hi Trezy, Thank you for your question. The pull out wand does simply pull out for use. You will then slide the wand back into the spout when finished. The weight under the counter will help with the hose when returning the wand to the spout. The button on the wand will allow you to toggle back and forth between stream and spray modes. Thanks, Dave

Had this faucet about 4 years now & the past few months we have water leaking under sink intermitinly. Finally saw it is leaking from the cold water line within the body of faucet. This should'nt be happening after only 4 years of service. Please advise.

can this faucet be deck mounted for use with an undercounter sink?

What size aerator wrench do I need for this faucet?

Some debris in our water lines and no one in town seems to carry aerator wrenches for Delta faucets. Want some exact info before I order one online.
