While I like the faucet very much, the touch mechanism only seems to work on the handle and base, not on the curved faucet itself as shown in the demonstrations. While this is not a big problem, it is inconvenient when I go to touch it on or off on the faucet area and nothing happens. I would really like it to work as advertised.

Touch control on the handle is a plus, as I get used to not needing to use the handle on/off. Only wish the return from the pull down was a little better. I have to help finish the return.

Ours came apart when I had to replace the batteries and now the top won't lock-in. I have to use large rubber bands to keep the top and bottom together. If you don't make one, power source, you certainly should. It would be very helpful.

Works fine all day but in the evening when it is needed most the touchless function becomes very inconsistent. Won't turn on, then if it does turn on it won't turn off. sometime touching the base sharply works, but the neck is useless. Next morning all is fine. Working now with Delta customer service (which in itself is an inconsistent experience of knowledge and suggestions). I remain neutral until I see if Delta Help is able to cure my issue.

I really don't like the excess splash from even the lowest water setting, I see Delta has announced "shield spray" which is now available on some. Sometimes when trying to use without touch no water unless I play with the handle. Hard to get water temperature adjusted to temperature I want with the lever. Might be because new to me, but at this point I am kinda wishing I had a different faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta On/Off Touch Activation, one star is kind review! We have had our Delta faucet now for over a year and have been very disappointed in our purchase. The idea of the on/off touch activation seemed perfect for a busy family looking to find a premium service for our dish washing functionality. This faucet is NOT up to the quality and price paid. The touch activation is extremely faulty. It often turns off in mid stream use without ANY closeness to a body or anything near the faucet touch area. There is a lot of sensitivity to the light near the faucet neck and we are often trying to figure out what affects that, but when it is affected we cannot use the faucet at all. We tried to find a way to use the faucet with out the on/off touch activation and we cannot do that, it defaults to being off, without power, and that is a very tough customer experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusting Away I installed this faucet about in late 2017 and it started to rust about 6 months ago. It has a mild steel sleeve that houses the retractable faucet head that has been completely deteriorating. There is no leakage along the hose or near the head, but water does get splashed on the joint on occasion. I’m surprised the sleeve wasn’t stainless or brass. It doesn’t look like it’s possible to replace the sleeve. We like the faucet, but the rust has made it so the head doesn’t retract all the way.

We were afraid the motion sensor would come on at odd times and went with this one. I wanted something that I can tap when I have really yucky hands or when I have been cooking with raw chicken. I have been using it a few weeks and realized that it seems I am really saving water when washing dishes. Now when I am at someone else's house, I tap at the kitchen faucet because I am so used to mine. I highly recommend this faucet!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well when it works I've had this for about a year now and it works really well when it does work. For the first couple of month no issues. At all, all the touch points worked well. About 5 months in That's when some problems happened. There would be intermittent drips and such which made me put the handle to the off position all the time so that we don't waste water when we are sleeping or away. This problem is due to the sediments getting stuck in the solenoid which in turn keeps the valve from closing completely. Not a hard fix, but delicate. The next problem was losing the touch sensitivity. The top part of the faucet no longer works. There must be some wiring that is broken or possibly shorted, inconvenient but the Shaft still works. Would I buy this again? Maybe a newer model more throughly tested model. The touch is very convenient. -Harri

Our Laundry room project just was a great place to add another one. Previously had an issue with the Solenoid on our first faucet and Delta walked me through the troubleshooting and sent a replacement. Great service!

Hello Ronnie, Thank you for your inquiry! The parts for the Delta Essa Pull-Down Touch2O Kitchen 9113T-BL-DST faucet can not be interchanged with the non-touch faucet. The touch parts may not work correctly or activate correctly with parts of a non-touch faucet. Best regards, Tanya

The led is flashing red 3 times any time I touch the faucet, then acts normal - i.e. color per temperature. What does it mean?

Will the faucet turn on if an animal (cat) brushes against it?

If it does turn on because of animal contact when we're not home will it turn off after a timed interval?

The Delta Essa Kitchen Pull-Down Touch 9113T-BL-DST faucet, has a touch technology which was introduced in 2008, it involves something called capacitance sensors to detect human only touch and turn the faucet on and off. All of our Delta Touch technology faucets have an automatic water flow shut-off after four minutes to helps conserve water. Best regards, Tanya

how do i increase the flow rate ?

If build-up over time is contributing to low flow we recommend soaking the wand in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to break down any mineral buildup.
