kitchen faucet flow options
Overall, I like this faucet, but the spray option is 2 separate sprays instead of a full spray. Doesn't work as well to rinse of sink or rinse a sieve. My old Delta was better in this regard.

Over Priced, Under Featured
Faucet pressure is very low, almost to the point of being unusable and yes, I have flushed the lines, ensured none of the screens are blocked, etc. Without the shower head there is plenty of pressure. The issue appears to be in amount of stuff in the head. Further, when adjusting the touches sensor off since it gets so annoying to actually have the water go on and off when you move within 6-8 inches of the faucet, it never actually goes off. Even in the off setting, the faucet will still go on and off if you are within an inch or two of it. Lots of money for a faucet that I now just use the handle to turn off and on vs the whole point of touch/touchless.

Which finish looks better with a stainless sink - Arctic Stainless or Polished Nickel?

What type of metal is used and where?
I have searched all the Q&A answers, and although a couple of people asked what the faucet is made of, the answers given are not specific enough. Exactly what type of metal is used- Brass? Zinc? Zamak? What parts are metal and what parts are plastic? Your website conveniently (actually inconveniently) leaves out all details regarding material which is not a good sign for anyone looking for a quality faucet.

Thank you for your question. The faucet body, spout, and handle are metal. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used. In general, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate).

Thanks for your question. You will need to check the manufacturing date on the supply lines coming from the base of the faucet. You may also find this information on the box. If the date is prior to 8-1-2018 you will need to use the base ring that comes with the faucet. If the date is after 8-1-2018 you only need to use the gasket, not the base ring. How to tight the spout? The spout is loose.

2 Questions on Operation
1. Which way do you move the side-mounted lever handle to turn the water ON - Up or Down; Front or Back?
2. Does the pull down spray wand have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the pull down?
To turn the faucet on, you move the handle out. Front and back are the temperature control. Back being hotter, cold is forward.
There is not a shut-off on the pulldown spray attachment, just a rocker switch for spray and regular flow.

Thank you for your question. We recommend installing it with the handle on the right. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on. The vertical (back) position gives cold water and rotating the handle forward provides hot. Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse the movement, so if the handle is installed on the left, it will rotate backward.

It is also available in Arctic Stainless which does have brush strokes and matches many Brushed Nickel and Stainless finishes. Is there a hole cover for the empty hole in the sink that matches a 9197-CZ-PR-DST? We have a RO filter and a soap dispenser, so the escutcheon plate won't work.

Can the on/off handle on the Cassidy model be put in front, rather than on either side?
I prefer to have my hot/cold selection be left and right, instead of front and back. Is there any reason why this could not be done?

I see how to unscrew the spray head itself, but is there a way to clean being the filter on both sides? It appears the aerator side has a metal ring that can be removed--how do you remove that?
I have low flow on this faucet but not others. I have checked the connections, etc.

Is the Cassidy 9197-ar-dst in arctic finish all metal? Also, does the spray button lock or does one need to hold the button down for spray mode?
Hi Busymom, Thank you for your questions. The Arctic (AR) finish used on the metal and non metallic components of the model 9197-AR-DST faucet is not metal, it is considered a plating finish. There is a toggle switch that allows you to switch between spray and stream modes on the wand, you do not have to hold it down.
