PRODUCT FEATURES
Touch it on. Touch it off. Whether you have two full hands or 10 messy fingers, Delta® Touch2O® Technology helps keep your faucet clean, even when your hands aren’t. A simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle with your wrist or forearm activates the flow of water at the temperature where your handle is set. The Delta TempSense™ LED light changes color to alert you to the water’s temperature and eliminate any possible surprises or discomfort. Delta® MagnaTite® Docking uses a powerful integrated magnet to pull your faucet spray wand precisely into place and hold it there so it stays docked when not in use. Kitchen faucets with Touch-Clean® Spray Holes allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up with the touch of a finger. You can install with confidence, knowing that Delta faucets are backed by our Lifetime Limited Warranty. Electronic parts are backed by our 5-year electronic parts warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from As advertised I received this as a gift. It worked great until parts of the faucet head rusted, now there is a constant drip when the water is on and off. . For the price $$$$, I did not expect this to happen.

Q&A

Touch technology is a disaster. Can I disable it so faucet works with handle only?

Asked by: George
Hi, George! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your touch faucet. The Delta 9983T-DST faucet can be changed to manual mode. Make sure your handle is in the 'off' position. Have a bowl or bucket and some towels around for any excess water. There are two hose-like lines that go into the top and bottom of the solenoid assembly. They are connected with two blue clips. Remove these clips to remove the hoses from your solenoid. Remove the solenoid altogether and connect the two hoses together with one of the blue clips. Your faucet will work manually after doing this. Best Regards, Rosanna

We purchased the Mateo single handle with Touch2O Technology. We would like to know, if the batteries die, or if the AC adapter malfunctions will the faucet still work. If so how?

Asked by: JimB
Hello, JimB! Thank you for your question. Note that the light will flash red when the batteries are running low and need to be replaced. You can switch the faucet to manual mode by turning the faucet on so that water is running, then disconnecting the battery box. You can also remove the solenoid assembly by turning the faucet off manually, disconnecting the solenoid from the faucet and hose, and connecting the hose directly to the faucet. Best regards, Jon

Can you change the aerator on this faucet to decrease the flow rate?

Asked by: Carla
Thank you for your inquiry, Carla! The Delta Mateo Pull-down Bar/Prep 9983T-KS-DST model does not have a removable or replaceable aerator assembly. This unit is designed with a 1.80 GPM at 60 PSI flow rate. Best regards, Tanya

How do I change the batteries?

Asked by: Rosemary
Thank you for your question, Rosemary! The instructions for changing the batteries can be found on page 12, step 8 of your maintenance and installation manual. The lid of the battery box has two tabs that must be depressed to remove the lid. Please make sure that all of the batteries are inserted facing the correct direction. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/92519%20Rev%20H.pdf Best regards, Edward

Touch sensitivity has decreased in the past few weeks. Have to tap repeatedly to turn on or off. Can this be adjusted, or is something broken?

Asked by: Tom V
Hello Tom V, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! We recommend the following: Use the isolation components provided with the faucet (helps the faucet recognize the signal better) Use all other insulators provided with the faucet (exception: spout insulator cannot be used with thin-mounting surfaces) Make sure the metal mounting shank is at least ½” from the sink bowl or other metal objects (e.g., sink clips, metallic hoses, house wiring, etc.) If you are still having issues there is a couple more things to try: Separate the black wire with the stereo plug as much as possible from the other wires Place battery pack as close to the floor of cabinet as possible (flat on floor for best results) Maintain a 2” clearance around battery pack (excluding cabinet itself) Route faucet wires away from all hoses and supply lines to prevent contact Avoid placing household objects (sponges, soaps, decorations, etc.) within 2” of faucet Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

We had our MATEO Single Handle Pull-Down Touch Faucet installed about a year ago and love it, but over the past 6 months the flow rate decreased in half. We verified the supply valves are open 100%. What will cause this? It work great the first 6 month
