Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a company! We had a problem with a faucet purchased and installed about 24 years ago. I had a couple of trouble shooting calls with the very professional folks at Delta but we couldn't resolve the issue. They asked for photos of the faucet trouble areas. I honestly expected very little after all these years...maybe a discount on a new faucet, or even nothing at all. What did they give me? Brand New Faucet!!!!! Thank you Delta !

RE: Cassidy Model 3597LF - PMNPU, faucet 413763-A. Installers say that the threaded pipe is not long enough to securely attach faucet to a granite top measuring 1 1/8 inches thick. If this is true, what is a solution? I am on my own to make this repair.

Asked by: LWT2
Thank you for your question, LWT2! The Delta Cassidy Lavatory 3597LF-PNMPU has a max deck thickness of 1-3/32". You will need to order the RP10612 extension kit that adds 1" of max deck thickness. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP10612 Best regards, Tanya

How are the valves installed so that they are closed with the levers pointing away from the spout and open with the levers pointing into the tub?

Asked by: RetiredPete
Hello RetiredPete, Thank you for your inquiry! Here are the step by step walk thru on how to install each stem unit and 1/4 turn stops, so the handle turn correctly. I hope the information is helpful. Hot side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white portion of the stem toward the spout. When you install the stem into the valve, you should notice 2 notches in the brass valve body. The stem unit will have a piece in each side that will fit into the notches. These notches should be facing the 3 and 9 o'clock position, if you imagine a clock face. With the stem installed in the valve, you will need to insert the 1/4 turn stop into the slot in the front of the stem unit. Now you will want to tighten down the bonnet nut that screws onto the valve body. Once the nut is hand tight, you might need to reposition the brass arm that is straight up and down on the stem unit. The flat part of this arm should be facing away from the spout. So it should be in the 9 o'clock position. You can rotate this arm by grabbing a hold of it and just twisting it. Once you have it in the 9 o'clock position, you should be able to reinstall the handle and tighten the setscrew. Now when you turn the handle, it should turn toward you. Cold side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white part away from the spout. So if you image a clock, the white piece of the stem will be facing the 3 o'clock position. Again, the stem should fit into the two notches at the 3 and 9 o'clock position. The 1/4 turn stop will actually be installed the the back side of the stem. Once that is installed, you can tighten the bonnet nut over the valve and screw it down just hand tight. Grab a hold of the brass arm and twist it until the flat part is facing away from the spout. Again, it will be in the 3 o'clock position just like the white part of the stem. Once that is facing the correct direction, you should be able to install the handle and turn it toward you. Asked by: kathy
Hi, Kathy! Thank you for your question. The Delta 3597LF-PNMPU faucet handle direction can be changed by changing the orientation of the stem unit assembly within the valve, underneath the handle. First, turn the water off at the supply. Remove the set screws from the handles with a 3/32" allen wrench. Unscrew the bonnet nuts counterclockwise. Pull the stem unit assemblies out and turn them around to change the direction of the handle. Reinstall all parts. Please contact us back if you should need further assistance. Best Regards, Rosanna

Asked by: RK887
Hi RK887, Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet Delta Cassidy™ Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet - Less Handles In Chrome MODEL#: 3597LF-MPU. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue as quickly as possible. It is recommended to flush the unit before installing new parts. I will provide directions below. 1. Please place a towel around the backside of the faucet. 2. Place the bucket over the top of the towel, have someone hold the bucket. 3. Turn on water supplies and flush the water for about 30 seconds to a minute. 4. Shut off water supplies and proceed to put the new parts in. Typically, the quarter-turn stops on the left (hot) handle will be on the front side (close to you) and the right (cold) handle will be on the backside (away from you). If you reinstall the handles and find that they aren't turning in the right direction, rotate the stem 180º and check for proper handle rotation. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer.
