The modern world has arrived in my shower
I replaced an ancient Delta shower/tub set in silver with this in the gold finish. Love the look and, more than that, love the shower and how it distributes the water in a fun fashion. It's almost pulsating and such a dramatic change from the tired old shower head. Very happy. Like other reviewers mentioned, there is a component of water spots and will need wiping down if I want it to look sparkly all the time.

It the tub spout with the Pull-Up Diverter (MODEL#: RP73371) ADA compliant? It does not list Model T14459 or T14459- LHD as ADA in the cut sheet. Is this a mistake? Thank you!
Thank you for your question, KmarieK! Model RP73371 is not an ADA complaint tub spout. The valve trim on these models is considered ADA compliant, however the tub spout is a pull up diverter which does not qualify for this certification. The tub spout model RP93273 is an ADA complaint Push-button diverter tub spout that looks almost identical and can be used instead.

Will a 3-Way Shower Arm Diverter for Hand Shower U4929-cz-pk work? Will we need to get any other parts?

The U4929-CZ-PK will attach to your current shower arm and allow you to then connect your current showerhead and the 57923-CZ wall mount hand shower to the diverter. The diverter will allow you to use each showerhead individually or both at the same time. You will not need any other parts.

When shopping for this online (wayfair) it lists 4 required valves including a universal mixing rough-in valve, multichoice universal tub and shower valve body, etc.. are all 4 required, or only 1?

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Trinsic Tub and Shower Trim T14459 is designed with a constant volume water flow and the handle controls the temperature. The Delta Trinsic 17 series T17459 has a volume and temperature control that move independently of each other.

does the adapter need to be solder on the for the tub spout installation? how do you get O ring off if so?

This tub spout is only designed for a slip-on connection to a 1/2" smooth copper pipe with the set screw as seen on page 5 module 2 C-1 of the maintenance and installation manual (link below). The o-ring inside the tub spout will provide a proper seal. There is no soldering required for this tub spout.

We are shopping the Trinsic line in Matte Black. What is the material these are made of. I am a contractor so I know Depot, build sometimes have different versions than my supplier does. We did not want plastic

My T14459-BLLHD tub and shower trim kit came with the slip on adapter. I have a 1/2" brass nipple coming out of the wall. The instructions show varying spouts, so I am not sure if the install approach is universal for Delta spouts. Advice?

Can I use this outdoor?
Hi Mónica Morales, thank you for your interest in the T14459-SS!
Our warranty does not cover outdoor installation. For finishes, use chrome for most durability, or PVD finish as a second choice. Maintain the faucet with temperature and weather in mind.
Testing our finishes for outdoor weather ability is currently not in our performance specifications.
The polished chrome finish has the best chance of withstanding the outdoor elements, followed by the PVD finishes. Our organic finishes like Venetian Bronze and Matte Black may not hold up well to outdoor exposure.
Components must also be protected against damage from freezing water. Our warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by outdoor installations.

How far towards the 'hot' does the handle rotate? Is it supposed to go all the way towards the red dot? The water does not get as hot as other faucets, but we are not sure if our contractors have installed the mixer and handle properly or not

Please see the instructions for adjusting the rotational limit stop on pages 9 and 10 of the installation manual. The rotational limit stop is a safety feature that limits the maximum amount of hot water that can be mixed by limiting how far the handle can turn.

Hello, before I install I wanted to know if the faucet will shut off the water? How does the faucet stop the flow of water coming in? Is it stopped when it is all the way on cold? I do have the multichoice universal valve that I purchased separately.

How do you install the tub diverted spout on 1/2” copper pipe

Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The RP73371CZ tub spout includes the RP33794 for a slip-on installation to 1/2" copper pipe. The pipe should be 2-4" long from the wall. The adapter slips onto the pipe and is tightened with the set screw. The tub spout is then screwed onto the adapter.
