The pull-down spray wand comes free with a gentle tug and gives you total flexibility. The hose extends and retracts without friction points, fed by gravity. As you raise the wand to dock it, the magnet embedded in the spout pulls the wand precisely into place. So, unlike other pull-downs that tend to droop over time, MagnaTite® keeps your pull-down faucet looking picture-perfect. Delta's exclusive DIAMOND Seal® Technology uses a valve with a tough diamond coating. InnoFlex® PEX waterways keep water inside the faucet out of contact with potential metal contaminants. This powerful combination brings you a faucet built to last up to five million uses. I would give it 5 stars and recommend it to a friend - EXCEPT for the poor planning by Delta on packaging. The information said everything was included for installation, including the water lines. The first statement on the instructions after opening the box is that if you are installing this on a thin surface, like a stainless steel sinktop, you need a stabilization plate (part number RP37490) which is not included. I drove 3 hours to install this in a vacation home to get ready for company for the holidays, only to find that I needed the additional part. The trip was wasted and I will now be under the gun when we all get there for the holidays to finish this job so we can cook for 14 people. The stabilization plate is not routinely stocked by home improvement stores and has to be ordered. It would have been nice if Delta had included that tidbit of information somewhere in the information they provide to retailers to post online. You can argue that I should have downloaded and read the installation instructions ahead of time, but although not a professional, I have done many faucet installations and have the tools needed. I would rather have to purchase water lines (which are available anywhere) than to need an obscure part that no local stores seem to stock. I wouldn't mind ordering the additional part when I ordered the faucet, had I known it was needed. A simple statement from Delta in the online information provided to their retailers would have gone a long way to making this a simple installation and I 5 star faucet! Delta customer service did offer to provide the plate at no charge when I contacted them, but would not expedite shipping. So 7-10 days without a kitchen faucet and it will not arrive until after the holidays, neither of which is very helpful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this faucet Bought this to replace my "old" Delta 16970-SD (which still looked brand new but there were no more parts available for fixing it). I love this new faucet EXCEPT for the fact that the handle does need to be placed exactly in the middle position or it will drip. My old Delta did not have this issue. Nevertheless do like the Kate faucet and just have to be careful how I place the handle.

This one gives a strong force of water in either spray or straight stream. Nozzle is on long hose so plenty of maneuverability. Happy it’s made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find 4 hole faucet. Very happy with this faucet. My sink has 4 holes so I did not want a faucet with the supply on the stem as most all seem to have now. This faucet provided a hole for our filtered water. The pullout spray is magnetic so returns to the faucet automatically and easily switches from stream to spray.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just installed, but so far so good This faucet replaced a previous Delta (basically the same exact faucet, just an older model), which I would have pursued the warranty on, except it was over 10 years old, and I did not purchase it. I am hopeful this faucet will provide many years of trouble-free service. It seems good, but what I expected for the price and as described. Only negative so far might be the soap dispenser appears to be all plastic, and the previous one was metal like the faucet itself. It looks and works fine so far though. Just appears cheaper quality.

I purchased this one and had a plumber install it. I love it. I like the spray and the natural flow both and the pull down nozzle works well and goes back up without a hitch. It also cleans up well, not spotting with our hard water. I definitely recommend it.

I looks great and performs really well. When using it I can sense that Delta's engineers are constantly improving even the smallest details. The spray is powerful and goes where you want it only without splattering. The handle has a solid feel and allows for precise control.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Replacement Faucet In October, 2009 I had my kitchen counters replaced to include new Delta Faucet 'Leland', #978-DST. The faucet started leaking such I couldn't shut completely off. Called Mission Plumbing for repair. Two plumbers tried to get the water control lever off but could not. 1st plumber told me I might need to buy another faucet, which I did (one from this review). Cost of old faucet was $210.60 (Home Depot) and the cost of new faucet $197.15 (Amazon). These prices do not include taxes. Mission's Labor cost for uninstall - reinstall was total of $448. All together I am out $836 for hardware and labor. Tried to call Delta a couple of time and was told my wait time was 28 minutes (1st call) and 35 minutes (2nd call) which really upset me. Anyway, since Delta has a lifetime warranty on their faucets I was looking for some reimbursement for new faucet and labor since old one failed. Liked the faucets (old and new) but am retired and these unexpected expenses hurt.

Hello Stuman74, Thank you for your question. Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam. Best regards, Jon

How deep does the sink need to be to work with this faucet?

My sink is a high low unit with the deeper sink being 9 1/2" deep. Will it work with a sink this shallow?

Can the soap dispenser be placed on the far right with the faucet on the far left and the lever in the middle?

Why do Delta single control faucets require 2.5 inches to backsplash? I only have 2 inches so does that mean Delta is a non-option for me?

We recommend a minimum 2 1/2" (64 mm) clearance to the back splash in order to provide comfortable room for handle operation or for a lift rod concerning a lavatory faucet that uses a stopper assembly. This is also advised for the consideration of ease of install or repairs. This model will still work for your installation however. Best regards, Edward
