Model#: 16970-SSSD-DST
List Price: $64200
PRODUCT FEATURES
The pull-down spray wand comes free with a gentle tug and gives you total flexibility. The hose extends and retracts without friction points, fed by gravity. As you raise the wand to dock it, the magnet embedded in the spout pulls the wand precisely into place. So, unlike other pull-downs that tend to droop over time, MagnaTite® keeps your pull-down faucet looking picture-perfect. Delta's exclusive DIAMOND Seal® Technology uses a valve with a tough diamond coating. InnoFlex® PEX waterways keep water inside the faucet out of contact with potential metal contaminants. This powerful combination brings you a faucet built to last up to five million uses. Only Delta faucets are equipped with Touch-Clean® soft, rubber nubbins that allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up with the touch of a finger.
  • FULL-RANGE, FLEXIBLE REACH: High-arc kitchen faucet swivels 360° with a 20-inch retractable hose for easier cleaning, filling and rinsing around the sink
  • MAGNETIC DOCKING SPRAYER: MagnaTite® Docking uses a powerful magnet to keep your pull-down kitchen faucet sprayer securely in place and prevent drooping over time
  • LEAD-FREE COMPLIANT: Not all faucets are certified to necessary safety standards. Delta goes above and beyond with product testing and quality to ensure each faucet meets plumbing safety standards, including NSF/ANSI 61 and 372
  • LASTS 2X LONGER: Patented DIAMOND Seal® Technology reduces leak points and lasts 2X as long as the industry standard for long-lasting, leak-free performance (Industry standard based on ASME A112.18.1 of 500,000 cycles)
  • LEAK-FREE SUPPLY LINES YOU CAN TRUST: Delta® PEX supply lines are tested to withstand 20% more extreme pressure for 1,000 hours without leaking—far beyond plumbing standards
  • EASY INSTALLATION OPTIONS: This kitchen sink faucet fits 2 or 3-hole, 4 in configurations and includes integrated InnoFlex® PEX supply lines for faster installation
  • CORROSION-RESISTANT FINISH: Brilliance® finishes are engineered for durability and tested for corrosion resistance to at least 2 times industry standards
  • QUICK-CLEAN SPRAY HOLES: Touch-Clean® spray holes let you easily wipe away calcium and lime buildup with the touch of a finger
  • MATCHING ACCESSORY INCLUDED: Comes with a coordinating soap dispenser with 8 oz. reservoir

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling apart This completely fell apart :( The hose portion just dangles and the handle to turn the water on/off doesnt turn off properly without a lot of maneuvering. Also, it doesnt maneuver in a way that captures any cold water at this point either. Lukewarm is the coolest you can get. Just not made well unfortunately :( Do they have replacement parts so I dont have to purchase a completely new faucet?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was reading reviews. I just paid for it to be installed and a week later the hot and cold little piece fell out and the handle is loose. Someone else in reviews said the same thing. I just paid a lot for the faucet and for it to be installed. How do I fix it?? It is less than two weeks old.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice faucet! Had a plumber install it so I can't comment on that, but I do love the faucet. My only problem is the faucet "hot cold" handle is somewhat loose. I guess the set screw fell out. I don't see that anywhere on the parts list. This is very inconvenitnt as the hardware store guy said I really have to know the size. Set screws are dumb

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Installed - Instructions Don't Quite Match Just installed this product. I'm not a professional installer, so it took an hour or so longer than it should have because the installation instructions/illustrations (both printed included in the box and the same on-line) do not match the product very well. Even the cover page does not match the product. Left me guessing on how to install some pieces.

Why has the hot water disappeared? all other faucets in house work fine---suddenly, no pressure/hot water on this faucet

Asked by: Bob13
Hello Bob13, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Low flow is normally caused by blockage or debris, and we recommend flushing. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole

On the Kate kitchen faucet. Is the stainless spot free?

Asked by: vik33
Hello vik33, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Faucet model 16970-SSSD-DST! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. Our SpotShield Stainless was released in 2017; however, model 16970-SSSD-DST was released in 2008, so it does not have the SpotShield technology. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for further assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer! Best Regards, Emma Digital Communications Specialist

Asked by: George
Hi George, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Our Delta Faucet Kate® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Soap Dispenser In Stainless MODEL#: 16970-SSSD-DST would need to be flushed, if there is debris in the faucet it would cause the cartridge to not close all the way. Please see the step-by-step instructions below. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. The handle to turn on the faucet keeps coming loose from the counter. I've tightened it several times, but it is loose within the day. Do I need a new handle? If so, where can I get one?

Asked by: Dan M
Hi Dan M, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The handle valve on model 16970-SSSD-DST is tightened from the bottom, we would recommend checking the nut it tight with under the counter. If the under part of the counter is too smooth, you could take a piece of sandpaper and place it under the counter to give the nut something rough to tighten against.
