Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice spout arm Installed for about 5 months now. I like the way the spout arm arcs high and is removable. Is a HUGE help for washing large pots/pans. Chrome finish is nice. From day one I've had a problem with the cartridge though. It's difficult adjusting the temperature of the water. It doesn't pivot/rotate smoothly which results in the water being too hot or too cold. When I've loosened the assembly which holds the cartridge, the cartdridge will drip water. When I tighten it, adjustment to water temps becomes very diffiuclt. It's possible my cartridge is defective. Other than the cartridge, I like the faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs stabilization plate, no indication of this Just received this and was excited to install it, but then saw in the instructions that for a stainless steel sink, I need a stabilization plate which is not included nor mentioned anywhere in the description on Delta's website. Really unhappy that this extra requirement wasn't made clear and adds both time and expense to this process as now I have to order that stabilization plate separately.

This would not have been my first choice but since the selections for 3 individual hole options are very few and this looked like the one I was replacing, I got it. This is a combination of stainless steel and plastic. The sleeve for the on/off handle is much bigger the sleeve for the pull down. So much that they don't look like they go together. The on/off handle is huge and looks like an old car door handle. The gravity weight for the pull down hose bangs around under your sink which is very annoying. There are a few things I like but more that I don't. Overall I feel like the design is mismatched. Partly sleek and partly chunky. Design was not well executed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Magna tite doesn’t work right Love the look of the faucet but the Magna tite doesn’t seem to be working right. It will stay in place when not in use but we have to push it back into place after using it. It doesn’t snap back into place even when you push it up very close to the top. Is this a faucet flaw or an installation issue? It was professionally installed. It’s terribly annoying to have to force it back into place every time.

Not sure how long Delta's guarantee is for, but I'd still be looking at another plumber installation charge. What a hassle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Read the midrange reviews first. We've had this for going on 6 months and nothing but trouble with it. We originally had problems with it not seating flush with the new sink...solved that with a thin coat of silicone (not the best solution but worked), now it leaks when I shut the faucet off. So, I have to make sure to pull the handle to the right and then turn it off. Not worth the $$$.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What We Needed We remodeled our kitchen 24 years ago including a Delta Faucet that needed three holes in the new counter top (Valve, Faucet, and Sprayer). When it came time to replace the faucet, we needed a model that would fill all three holes. This was not a 'slam dunk' because everyone has replaced the separate sprayer with an integrated spray head and many have also integrated the valve so that only one hole in the counter top is required. Thankfully, Delta has the 16970-SD-DST model with separate faucet, valve, and soap dispenser. True, we now have two soap dispensers but we don't have an empty hole in our counter top. And best of all is the performance of the Magnatite Docking, Diamond Seal, and Touch Clean features. I have no doubt that this system will last us another 24 years as did our last Delta faucet!

It looks fantastic and works beautifully. I did not install it myself, but the person who did the installation was able to do it pretty easily. I would recommend this faucet to anyone ready to have a great looking, great working faucet in their kitchen.

I love the fact that it actually has a button to switch from stream to spray and that it works even while the water is running. It fits lower in the sink than it looked in the picture and at first I was unsure about how I would like it, but it didn't take me long to get used to it. The water stays in the sink and not on the counter. Great quality!

I thought if I bought something nice and spend a few extra bucks it would get me a reliable product. I was wrong. Initially the bell shaped cover that goes around the ball assembly came loose and interfered with shutting off the water. I fixed that and it worked fine for a while and then it started dripping again. I figured out if I rocked it to the cold side prior to shutting off the water than it worked better. I limped it along for a while but eventually that trick didn't work anymore either. I finally took it apart again today only to discover that the cam and the ball handle are no longer aligned properly. Needless to say I'm ripping the whole thing out and starting over. I will not be purchasing a Delta product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice looking I purchased this 2 weeks ago and even though the reach is 9.25 with the arc is very wide and the water from the spout hits the bottom of the sink way out front next to me (reach should be 11+ NOT 9.25) and I get splashed so I pulled out the head and had my husband cut a small piece of garden hose then I pushed the hose piece up into the spout which holds the head back to where the water from the spout now comes straight down and hits the middle of the sink. May not look that great with the head out and the hose showing but it works great for us. No splashing. Love it now.

The only suggestion that I have is to have a professional plumber install the faucet,etc. Unless you have some prior knowledge of plumbing you could install yourself.

It is either way too hot or too cold and it is very difficult to move the handle to a spot with where the water temperature is lukewarm I've never used a faucet that is so difficult to adjust the temperature on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's good faucet but still need alot of improvement in design. I have been using this kitchen faucet for couple years now. There are few major problems with Valve Assembly, the whole Valve Assembly become loose after few months, even tighten it again. The mounting bracket and one nut just not enough to secure the Valve Assembly, it still move when you turn on and off the water. Soon the handle become loose too. Water start dripping when you turn the water off. For better design there should be plastic wrap around the valve assemble stem for holding the handle more securely and better controlling the water flow. With plastic on the stem also reduce the distance from open water position to shut off water position, just make shut off water easier without putting too much force on the handle. The install button on the handle don't fit correctly and not secure, it sometime pop right out when you turning on/off the water. The Thread sleeve on the handle also is not secure, hold it with few plastic teeth. Tighten the thread sleeve over bonnet sometime pop out when you moving the handle. Over time the plastic teeth in thread sleeve start to break down and thread sleeve will longer hold. Maybe that's why most kitchen faucet is one piece with handle attached to the faucet. There few design problems I want to point out. I hope Delta faucet will fix the these problems. Thanks.

The instructions for installation were clear and easy to read. Minimal extra tools needed to complete the installation. The faucet handle has a very light touch so will take some getting used to but overall, this one is a winner.

He was right!! I love love love this faucet with the pull down sprayer. It not only is very attractive and super functional but it was at a price I could afford. Many friends have seen it and said when theirs needs replacing they will be asking my help to find one on Amazon just like mine. One of the greatest features is even tho it is a shiney chrome, it is easy to keep it shiney....a simple wipe with a damp paper towel removes the soap and water drop marks. I love love love it!!! Great job Delta and I understand it is warrantied for life!! for a senior on a fixed income that is truly wonderful!

Hello Stuman74, Thank you for your question. Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam. Best regards, Jon

How deep does the sink need to be to work with this faucet?

My sink is a high low unit with the deeper sink being 9 1/2" deep. Will it work with a sink this shallow?

Why do Delta single control faucets require 2.5 inches to backsplash? I only have 2 inches so does that mean Delta is a non-option for me?

We recommend a minimum 2 1/2" (64 mm) clearance to the back splash in order to provide comfortable room for handle operation or for a lift rod concerning a lavatory faucet that uses a stopper assembly. This is also advised for the consideration of ease of install or repairs. This model will still work for your installation however. Best regards, Edward
