Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken Faucet from Falling apart This completely fell apart :( The hose portion just dangles and the handle to turn the water on/off doesnt turn off properly without a lot of maneuvering. Also, it doesnt maneuver in a way that captures any cold water at this point either. Lukewarm is the coolest you can get. Just not made well unfortunately :( Do they have replacement parts so I dont have to purchase a completely new faucet?

Someone else in reviews said the same thing. I just paid a lot for the faucet and for it to be installed. How do I fix it?? It is less than two weeks old.

I guess the set screw fell out. I don't see that anywhere on the parts list. This is very inconvenitnt as the hardware store guy said I really have to know the size. Set screws are dumb

I'm not a professional installer, so it took an hour or so longer than it should have because the installation instructions/illustrations (both printed included in the box and the same on-line) do not match the product very well. Even the cover page does not match the product. Left me guessing on how to install some pieces.

Hi , I am installing the 16970-SSSD-DST faucet on a marble top counter. Is it Ok to install an escutcheon plate under the valve body? Provided it fits. Then will I stll need to put a tad of clear silicon? thank you. Tom Stavros

Thanks for the response, Bryan. The faucet is brand new. Cleaning the spout with white vinegar solution and/or the flow restrictor is unnecessary for a new product. Can the flow restrictor be easily removed

Where can I buy/order a replacement faucet head for my Kate 16970, mine has become very difficult to push to change flow from solid to spray, or can it be lubricated? If so what should I use?

Photo shows you can install with 4" minimum between hole centers but literature says it works with 6"-16". I have holes at 4" centers, will this faucet work?

what are the sizes of the holes needed to install the product. I have looked at the installation sheet and not sure what size the pipe needs to be? I have a hole width of a little over 1 inch and the old delta faucet was just under 1 inch -

the Kate 16970-sssd-dst spout is two pieces. How do they connect?

The stream of water is very strong and splashing out it is not a stream.  Is this the aerator that needs to be replaced?  The spray works just fine, the other is very strange.

I have the Kate faucet with a soap dispenser. The faucet drips unless i push the handle down quickly a couple times. The set screw is also becoming stripped from years of having to re-tighten. Please advise what parts I need and how to order?

What is the best way to polish the brushed stainless steel faucets?

We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible. Avoid using harsh abrasives or polishes on the faucet. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measures are needed, a solution of 50% distilled white vinegar (not apple cider or balsamic vinegar) and water could be used by wiping, spraying, or soaking. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward and wipe dry. Regarding the button for the stream/spray, is it a full switch where it will stay in one position or the other? Or is it a softer toggle that only stays in spray mode while a person is holding the button?

The new Kate that I installed recently does not deliver enough volume. The delivery is estimated to be about half the previous Delta faucet I had replaced. What can I do to increase the volume?

I have Kate model 16970-SSSD-DST and I can't figure out how to attach the spout to the base. The instructions don't mention how to do this at all. It doesn't screw on. Do I use a hammer? Too bad there's no 24 x 7 help for do it yourselfers on a Sunday.

I have to put the handle to a very specific position (forward and to the right) so that it doesn't drip. I suspect it needs a new cartridge. Can you please provide the replacement cartridge number?
