If the hose has retracted into the spout, the best way to get it out is by holding the hose under the counter and slowly pushing it back up through the spout. It is also easier if you have a someone above the counter to grab the hose. If, instead, this has disconnected below the counter then you would want to feed the hose down through the spout using a slight twisting motion. Once the hose mostly inserted, put the hose weight on and connect the hose back to the faucet, tugging gently to ensure a firm connection.
