Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kitchen Faucet! My old kitchen faucet sprung a leak in a supply line so I needed a replacement - and fast. I reviewed several faucets online and nothing stood out so I took a ride to the home store and found this one, and boy was I surprised! It not only looked and felt more substantial that the others but seemed quite straightforward to install. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This is possible the best kitchen faucet I have ever had. The shield spray and regular spray are both great features and the retractable spray stays firmly in place by a strong magnet. If you need a great kitchen faucet, buy this one - you will not be disappointed. The only con I can think of is the water supply lines are a little stiff so be careful how you loop them if needed during installation.

I had many reservations that it would fall apart quickly. I have to laugh because I I never thought I would "love" my faucet as much as I do! Delta, you rock!! One word-QUALITY! I love the MagnaTite docking of the sprayer as well as the dual function wand with its aerated stream or spray switch choice. If you shut water off in spray mode the water will start in spray mode. There is a third button that activates the durashield spray but will default back to your spray when button is released.

I also like the three spray options and the non-splash is super!! My only ding against would be the retraction on the pull could be stronger, but if you guide it back, it will lock into place.

The shield spray feature is a sweet feature. Although it appears “wimpy” it us NOT it’s almost like magic on how it works! I especially like the soap feature as it can be filled from the top not from under the cabinet. I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value, dependable, durable finish My choice of Delta for all of our residential faucets after the horrendous flood last year was based on over 20 years of favorable, satisfying, confident experience while in the wholesale and retail plumbing fixtures and parts distribution business as well as having them installed in my home during that time of employment. I became so familiar with their inner workings that I could have disassembled and reassembled the single handle valves blindfolded. That is no longer the case anymore, as faucets have become much more complicated, with a wider variety of outsourced, often unrecognizable components, but I guess that's a result of a global economy. Case in point, the Charmaine 19962-SSSD-DST we have in our kitchen, or should I say the Charmaine 19962Z-SD-DST we have in our kitchen. I was at first initially skeptical of the much-reduced aerator spray output but after a short period of use became impressed with its' 1.8 gpm performance. I didn't think it possible. I also came to admire the MagnaTite Docking and Brilliance Finish. It has long been a practice of mine to seek out, download and save any and all Delta Faucet parts diagrams I could find for our installed models. While I was aware of the fact that our particular kitchen faucet was an exclusive to Home Depot, it wasn't until doing some additional research for parts & accessories diagrams that I discovered that the previously saved pdf of what was presumably our model was not entirely accurate. It showed an aerator that did not require a wrench for removal; ours does, and was, of course, included in the original product carton. Further research on deltafaucet.com revealed a similar model, 19962Z-SD-DST, depicting the RP90248 aerator & wrench. Needless to say I have downloaded and saved this document as well. Besides these distinctions, both of the saved 19962 parts documents reflect an additional inaccuracy: neither illustrate or depict accessing the cartridge assembly by removal of the handle. Our faucet has an opening, below and positioned towards the backsplash, where there is, presumably, a setscrew. Both the 19962 and 19962Z Delta documents include the words "Set Screw" in the diagram but do not illustrate it or its relative position to the handle. I have yet to determine what specific size setscrew it is but am confident that no matter its size I have the appropriate tool for the job. Being typically imperfect humans we very often don't pay any attention to mundane, ordinary, taken-for-granted items such as faucets. Next to water heaters they're probably the most ignored items in a house, until they begin to malfunction. A lesson learned after having spent many a year assisting customers rebuild their existing faucets was to ensure for future maintenance easy disassembly of that faucet. I can't begin to count how many tales of frustration customers had shared of the laborious, time-consuming removal of stuck and frozen faucet parts. Soon after moving back into the house here I made it a point to disassemble our in-wall Delta R1000 tub/shower valves and applied liberal amounts of silicone-based lubricant on any and all threaded parts, a task made much easier as the rough valves purchased included integral, built-in shutoff stops (another lesson learned). Please don't misunderstand---these are not criticisms but observations and recommendations for anyone who'd like to make the job of bringing new life to their faucets. It's inevitable that at some point in the future they will require *some* sort of maintenance. You can make that job a lot easier with a few proactive steps.

Faucet came with a small ratchet; figured it was an adustment tool as no instructions came with faucet. I "adjusted" aerator. Unfortunately, i loosened too much and lost aerator. Currently on back order. It is nice faucet.

I"m using the single hole mount for my faucet and notice there is no rubber gasket, like what's included with the soap dispenser, just a foamy type gasket. am I missing something?

1Rog, Thank you for your question! This is the correct gasket for a single-hole installation and will help prevent water from seeping under the base. You may also use a thin bead of silicone to help ensure a water-tight seal. Best regards, Jon

I would like to remove the screen to clean out any sediment that might be trapped. How do I remove it?

Dear Marty, Thank you for your question. The aerator of the Delta Pull-Down 19962Z-SD-DST faucet removes from the end of the wand assembly, using the provided wrench/tool RP90248. Then you can soak the entire aerator in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and tap water for up to 2 hours at a time for cleaning. I have a Delta 19962Z SD-DST And am not getting as much water as I was( Very little), I cleaned the round filter in the end of the nozzle but that did not help. Are there filters in side on the actual nozzle and if so how does it come apart!
