Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not goid I recently purchased this faucet through an authorized dealer The pullout does not magnetic lock but sags if you don’t push in hard Also you have to literally grab the back of spout to turn the swivel,, I presently have a complaint in with the dealer Love the design but not like the previous high end Koehler

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect Match! I got this to replace the exact same faucet…from a big box store. The parts were definitely better quality. I’m sure this one will last longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would definitely buy again. I searched high and low to find a faucet that fit my height and reach requirements and this was (almost) exactly what I needed. I am extremely pleased with the function and appearance of the faucet. It delivers water far enough away from the back counter that I no longer have to mop around the base of my faucet several times a day. And, the reach is long enough that I don't have to bend over and stress my back. The flow of water is strong. The pull out sprayer excellent. The unit is substantial but not overwhelming in appearance. High quality. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet I’ve always loved this shape of kitchen faucet, so easy on the hands. What makes this one different is the spout is a bit lower. To my pleasant surprise, this design results in very little water splashing on the sink and back splash which has always annoyed me. It functions perfectly, solid, with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! This is a great faucet. My sister recently redid her kitchen and this faucet fits in the updated room very well. The chrome finish shines bright and it gives good water pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant and durable faucet This is an elegant addition to my kitchen that I’m absolutely thrilled with. The spray has two different settings for a standard faucet or a multi-spray that can blast any food remnants off your dishes. This is a very sturdy faucet and the pull-out sprayer extends and retracts smoothly. My old separate sprayer would get stuck and needed coaxing to get back in its spot, so I appreciate how easy this is to use! The design is simple and elegant, and will fit in with a lot of different styles. I have an original mid-century kitchen and it fits right in, but would look equally seamless in a modern space. The set-up is pretty straightforward, but the instructions cover a few different models in one guide, so finding the appropriate steps can take a minute. I was able to install it myself in under an hour.

Q&A

Is there any way to reduce the pressure on the faucet?

When we turn on the faucet, water sprays everywhere. Less so if it is on stream, but a lot if on spray.
Asked by: Jess
Hi Jess, Thank you for your question. We measure the water output by flow rate. You can reduce the flow rate from 1.8 to 1.5 gallons per minute using the RP61607 adapter between the hose and the faucet. This should help reduce any splashing. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP61607 Best regards, Jon

Are there any durability/cleaning issues with the black finish?

Have experienced some wear on very high end black finishes on hardware - which prompts the concern.
Asked by: potzer
Hi Potzer, Thank you for your question! Below is the cleaning and care information for our products: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes Avoid bleach-based cleaners Best regards, Brandis

Can the flow restriction device be removed to allow for greater than 1.8 GPM?

Please describe the nature of the spray feature. Will it remain "on" after the water is turned "off" and then when the water is turned back on will it remain in "spray" mode? Can you describe the Arctic Stainless finish?
Asked by: skyguy
Hi skyguy, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4159-AR-DST has a 1.8 gpm at 60 psi which is the highest water flow allowed by current legislation. We do not recommend taking out the flow restrictor and it will void the warranty if it is removed. When the wand is switched from spray to stream, it will stay in this mode until it is switched back whether the faucet is on or off. The Artic Stainless finish is closely related to the stainless steel finish of appliances that are out in the market today. Compared to our Stainless Steel finish, it has a bluer tint where the Stainless Steel has a golder tone.

The spout height is listed here as 11.39", but the box has a diagram seeming to depict 11.39 as the OVERALL height. What *is* the overall height - as in top of valve/lever base? (One vendor website says approx 13", but another crazily says 24") Thank you!

Asked by: Roman
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Roman! Sorry for any inconvenience. The overall height of the faucet is 11 25/64" when off (12 41/64" when on). Spout height from the deck to the aerator is 6 39/64". Please refer to the Technical Specifications for more information. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/dsp-k-4159-dst_C.pdf Best regards, Jon

I heard that the warrantee from home depot is not the same as the warrantee from Ferguson. That the repair parts from Ferguson or Josco will not fit in a HD faucet of the same model . that there innards are different. Is this true?

Asked by: Mara
Hi, Mara! Thank you for your question. We appreciate your interest in Delta faucets. All Delta faucets feature the same quality parts, materials, and workmanship, no matter what kind of dealer sells them. Delta retail dealers usually sell faucets that include the handles in the boxes. Plumbing professionals and Delta Studio Showrooms sell faucets where the faucets and handles are packaged and sold separately ("LHP" models), giving the customer some additional styling choices. However, the quality of all Delta faucets is the same. The warranty is the same as well. Here is a link to the warranty breakdown: https://www.deltafaucet.com/service-parts/warranty Best Regards, Rosanna

Can you install a water filter to this faucet? One of the screw on types. If so, how do you remove the aerator to install this?

Asked by: fusionnm
Hi, Fusionnm! Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to connect a water filter to the pull out sprayer assembly as potential pressure fluctuates during water filter operation may result in the hose rupturing. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there any way to extend the length of the spout reach? it's just a bit far for my reach to be comfortable, would like to extend it by 2 inches! a PVC adapter or something? ideas??

Asked by: Holly
Thank you for your inquiry, Holly! The Delta Trinsic Pull-Out Kitchen 4159-KS-DST faucet has a spout length of 9 1/4" (235 mm). The hose will provide about 30" of reach from the end of the spout. We do not manufacture any extensions for our spouts and we also do not recommend attaching anything to our pullout wand assemblies. Best regards, Tanya

cleaning & durability

I just got this faucet and see that the pullout spray hose is a braided, black fabric looking material. What is the material, and how durable is it versus braided stainless steel or the old style metal hoses? Also, how do you clean this surface - I am afraid it will hold lint from towels or paper towels. Thanks.
Asked by: Rose
Hi Rose, Thank you for your question. The hose has a braided nylon covering. The hose assembly is built to last, will not rust/corrode, and is quieter to pull out than metal coil hoses. It can be cleaned with a cloth or rag and a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution. Best regards, Jon

1 - Is dual-spray feature a toggle (must hold down the button) or can you lock on the spray? 2 - Magnetic docking for wand?

Asked by: Jaja
Hi, Jaja! Thank you for your question. The Delta 4159-DST Faucet sprayer mode selector does not need to be held down. The sprayer mode button does lock into the mode selected. The faucet does not feature our MagnaTite Docking as the sprayer sets into the body hub. MagnaTite Docking is usually featured on our Pull-Down sprayer faucets. The 4159-DST is a Pull-Out sprayer faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

We have the D 4159 BLDST and have two questions and issues. 1) What is the replacement part for the Aerator Insert? We can't find at any stores, online, or on the spec manual. 2) how do we repair the pull out to work?

Asked by: NanaB
Hi NanaB, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 4159-BL-DST. This faucet does not have a removable aerator. To troubleshoot an issue with the spray wand, we recommend soaking in 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinsing. This will help remove any buildup of mineral deposits. With the sprayer hose secured, the wand can be unscrewed from the hose and then clean any trapped debris from the connection or screen. Please contact us directly for further assistance or if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

How do I clean the screen in the faucet head? Our water has been off for 5 days due to power failure from snow storm and we're afraid trash has collected in the faucet head.

Asked by: Sissy47
Hello Sissy47, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. To help make sure there is no debris in the Delta faucet model 4159-L-DST, we recommend doing a flush. I have included flushing instructions below. Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Lastly follow the same steps for the cold water now. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole
