It is BIG, as in tall and HEAVY. It is th prettiest piece of hardware I’ve ever seen. Pictures do not even do it justice. You will have to be sure you have a deep, big sink to install this bad boy. It is 8.75 inches tall . . . Luckily, my utility sink in my laundry needed a serious upgrade and this is IT! Deckplate has to be purchased separately. Water flow is powerful, love the sprayer which is held in place with a strong magnet. This faucet has everything you need!

It’s a one in all type of sink. I really like the pressure the water has when it come out. I also really like that it has more than one water setting. I like that I don’t need extra handles to use all the functions it has. It’s got good esthetics and it works well. All I have left is to buy some covers for the holes left from the previous faucet to make it functional. Overall I think it’s a great faucet and I really like how simple it is! Definitely a keeper!

This may sound like a silly question, but this was installed by a contractor for me, and I am wondering if he got the cold and hot backward. When the handle is vertical should the water be hot or cold?

Does Model 4197-RB-DST and 9197T-RB-DSTcome with the RP71545RB Escutcheon need for a 3-hole 8" center install?

Don't know about 9197T-RB-DST, but 4197-RB-DST does not come with escutcheon plate. And this would be the only negative thing i would have to say is that it is pricey. around $65

I get mixed information regarding Model#: 4197-RB-DST. Some sites say it is all brass with magnetic locking while others say the pull out nozzle is plastic. What is the correct information? I really like the look but don't want plastic. Thanks.

Is this faucet going to be available with the touch2O technology?

I am interested in the Cassidy Single Handle pull-out kitchen faucet. I want the touch2o technology as we currently have it but we are remodeling our kitchen so we need new faucets. I saw the other Cassidy (high arc) has it but I prefer the details of this one.

Does a sprayer pull out/

Hello Patricia, Thank you for your question. Yes, the wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Out 4197-RB-DST faucet does simply pull out for use. You will then slide the wand back into the spout when finished. The weight under the counter will help with the hose when returning the wand to the spout. Does the Cassidy single handle faucet have a spout that swivels??

Can you swivel the spout from side to side to access a divided sink? Which is "browner" - oil-rubbed bronze or Tuscan bronze?

Hi Eileen, Thank you for your question! This faucet does swivel from sink to sink. We have two rubbed bronze finishes, Venetian Bronze, and Oil Rubbed Bronze. Venetian Bronze is dark brown with bronze markings throughout the finish. Oil Rubbed Bronze has more contrast. It is very dark brown (almost black) with bronze highlights only along the edges. Hot/Cold lever seems backward

We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?

on CASSIDY 4197-C2-DST , how do you replace the valve cylinder, once you have the handle removed? what holds the valve in place? Any special tools needed?

Once the handle of the Delta Cassidy Pull-Out Kitchen 4197-CZ-DST faucet is removed, you would remove the cap and unscrew the bonnet nut from around the the valve cartridge. Is there a larger size escutcheon available for this model?

I am mounting this faucet on a vintage cast sink with previously a 3 hole mount faucet. The area has some discoloration I am trying to cover. I purchased a RP714545 escutcheon but it is a little short for the coverage area I need. Is there a larger one that is compatible?

We installed a Cassidy faucet it our Kitchen and love the color (Chrome) however it is very difficult to pull out the sprayer and return it??? Can you give me some things to check, I really don't want to return it, I just want it to function correctly.

To help with the tight fit issue try WD40 Silicone spray on the plastic base that fits into the wand opening not the opening itself.

Would you call this faucet a brushed chrome or brushed nickle

I am trying to match pendant lights with the faucet. All lights are either brushed chrome or brushed nickle. The faucet is called stainless.

When Setting up the soap dispenser can longer tubing be used and put directly into a bottle of soap on the cabinet floor?

Instead of using the small plastic bottle that came with the soap dispenser, can you add a longer piece of tubing and extend it into a larger soap container that you can set on your cabinet floor? It would be much easier to get to when it needs replace.

I am considering purchasing this faucet, but have concern with how easy it is to pull out and replace the wand.

I tried it at a friend's home, and it was very difficult to pull out. Could this be an installation issue? Is there somewhere near Gainesville GA that has the faucet in their showroom to try it?

Hi Kitty, Thank you for your question. The model 4197-DST can be installed as a 1 or 3 hole installation. As long as you have space available you can add a soap/lotion dispenser to this faucet. I want to purchase Cassidy faucet # 4197-DST for a vintage kitchen with shallow depth counters. Why do I need 2 1/2" distance from the backsplash?

I would have just 1 3/4" to backsplash, and there is also a windowsill nearby, which makes the upper space for faucet even tighter. I really want this faucet.... It doesn't look like it would need that much, but I don't want to do an order I can't return. Please tell me why. Also wondering why the sprayer is is plastic not metal? Seems odd. Thank you for your help.

The Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Out 4197-DST has a recommended backsplash clearance of 2 1/2" because of the spout (with the decorative finial on the back) swivel of 120 degrees. can the handle be switched from the right to the left?

Hi, Roger! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this Delta 4197-DST faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Magnet docking

I am having a difficult time finding anything on this faucet that acts as if its a magnet to doc the wand pull out. Has this been eliminated by the this type pull out? I literally have to shove the wand back in to seat it

Re Cassidy kitchen faucet, I have a replacement retainer part that Delta supplied.   How do u replace this part?

Thank you for your question, Karen! The RP73942 retainer can be reached by first turning the water supplies to the faucet completely off, next remove the wand from the pull-out hose. You will then need to lift the top portion of the spout up and off, while pulling the hose through. The retainer will pull straight out of the lower portion of the spout and off of the hose. Now you can install the new retainer, threading the hose through it, until it sits inside the spout base as well as the upper spout segment. You can not screw the wand back on and turn on the shut-off supplies.
