Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Quality, Great Value Purchased this faucet because our old one was too tall and too long for our sink. This is a good option if you have a smaller basin and want to avoid getting water all over the counter. It can feel a bit short when washing large items, but it's great quality for the price and looks good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor adaptive engineering I bought this model as for 10+ yrs I loved this design with the old “ball & springs.” Delta made a big mistake simply putting ceramic innards in this older model. Now the handle must be put in a precise location every time it is turned off or else the faucet runs or drips. Even when it is precisely shut off it may start to drip of its own volition after 30 mins or so. Often I may turn the faucet on/off 30-70 times per day. I’ve used this faucet for 2 months and am shopping for a replacement as I can no longer put up with this shoddy product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Faucet -- After removing the water restriction. I had an older version of this faucet . (1997 Model) The older model would leak just a bit at the base after 20+ years of hard service. I went to the local hardware store and they had what looked like the exact same model I had. I purchased the faucet; simple to install as it looked like a replacement. The new model has a much better pull out faucet hose. After installing the new faucet, the water pressure was SLOW ! I took the faucet apart and removed the water restrictor. Bingo ! The pressure returned and I could not be happier with the new faucet.

Now about 6 months into installation, this faucet has started to leak and be difficult to turn off. I called their customer service they immediately sent a new cartridge but who wants to deal with fixing an essentially new faucet. ai'd recommend buying something else

how to take handle apart

Hello Steel6999, Thank you for your question. The handle of the Delta Signature Kitchen Pull-Out Kitchen 470-WE-DST faucet can be removed by first removing the red/blue button cover, using your fingernail or a sharp pin. Then using a 1/8" Allen wrench unscrew the set screw and pull the handle straight off the unit. Faucet will drip if not in certain position. Is there a video how to replace o rings?

Thank you for your question, Mary 9078! The design of the cartridge will require that the handle be placed in the center-downward or forward position in order to shut off the water. Do you have a water filter that is attached to a kitchen faucet our plumber recommended 470-DST

Thank you for your question, JOANNA!You can connect a water filter to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a pull-out or pull-down design. Some Delta kitchen faucets, like the 470-DST have a cache, or hidden, aerator for design purposes. What are the differences among 470-DST, 472-DST, 470-WE-DST, 470-AR-DST, and 470-ARWE-DST models?

Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your question! The model 470-DST has a solid handle and the 472-DST has a loop handle. "WE" models are Water Efficient and have a lower flow rate than non-WE models (currently 1.5 GPM and 1.8 GPM). The "AR" suffix refers to the finish color Arctic Stainless. Models without a finish suffix (AR, BL, WH) are Chrome. Can a PUR or Brita faucet filtration system be attached to the Signature Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet and if so how ? Thank you!

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 470-WE-DST or any pullout or pull down faucet is not recommended to have a filter hooked up to the faucet. The faucet is not designed to have anything added to it and could malfunction.

How do I tighten up the tower on this faucet?

This era faucet does not match the manual that I just downloaded and I cannot tell how to tighten it up. It is a possibility that the contractor did not install it correctly and that is the reason but I cannot tell without the correct manual. I believe that he threw away the manual or kept it.

Hello - My 470-ARWE-DST has a slow leak when turned off after use. What repair kit do I need to purchase to fix this leak?

Hi, Mike. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. We recommend to clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Unscrew the bonnet nut. Pull the valve cartridge out and clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587. Best Regards, Rosanna
